During band they did a a roll call to kinda get an idea of who everybody was. They started calling out names one by one. Of course some people were still on vacation, since it was the first day back from summer and all, so a lot of people weren't there. But one name in particular caught my attention, "Asia Lee" Ms. Bran called, no answer. "Oh right! She's in concert band, nevermind." 'Asia?' I thought, 'What kinda name is that?' But it didn't matter she wasn't in my band so I'd probably never meet her, so I just waved it aside. I had a lot of friends already in band so I talked to them, and made some new friends and we just hung out all class. But maybe they'll teach us how to play our instruments tomorrow. So I walked up to the 6th grade hallway with some of my new band friends and headed to science.

When I walked into Science the first person I saw was Camilla. She went by Cam 'cause she hated her name. Anyway the last time I saw her was in 4th grade and I hated her, with a passion. She thought she was better than everyone around her, she thought she deserved all the attention and that she was the center of the universe, and ya her house burned and I did feel bad for her but if I ever said something bad that happened to me, she would say, "Oh ya? Well my house burned down!!". But I figured I'd give her another shot because I mean it had been two years, maybe she changed a bit. She had, she changed a lot actually so we became, what you could call, friends. The teacher is Mrs. Crop (all of my teachers had weird names) was so nice! I just knew she was gonna be a great teacher.

Next I had Social Studies and I was not looking forward to it. In the school system I was in we didn't start learning Social Studies 'till 4th grade. And let me just say, that in 4th grade, I had a terrible teacher, and in 5th grade, well same thing. So, so far I did not like Social Studies. 'Chelly and I walked in and found seats next to each other and talk 'till the bell rings. Mrs. Tapen came in and introduced herself, she seemed nice enough but then again I had thought that about my last two Social Studies teachers, so I wasn't going to get my hopes up. But that plan failed and by the end of the period I could not wait to start 'casue she seemed even more awesome than Mrs. Crop!! 'This is gonna be a good year.' I thought.

Homeroom, I learned, is the class before or after lunch where you can do homework or go to band to practice or whatever your teacher will let you. My homeroom teacher was Mrs. Crop and she let us go out in the hall to arange our lockers and get 'em nice and neat. This one girl named Annie could not get her locker to open like, ever. I was not happy about it because she was in my class the year before and we weren't exactly friends, but I helped her open it so many times that I memorized her combonation on accident. But we became friends within the first three days of school so she didn't care that I knew her combo. 'I guess this will be a year where I have no enemies!' I thought, totally forgeting about Jennifer and Lewis.....

The rest of the day was pretty much the same, lunch blah blah ya ya you know how that goes, In English we met our teacher Mrs. Mops who was pretty but she wore way to much makeup (who was she trying to impress anyway?) and was very bland. But we played games and learned each others names the whole time. Now P.E. is where it got interesting......
