"April are you ready yet?" My brother, Jesse, shouted up at me.
"Coming!" I shouted back.
Hi my name is April Waters. My brother is Jesse Waters the biggest bad boy in the school. My parents are never home so Jesse never gets in trouble. My mum plays for the elite woman's soccer team and is on tour at the moment but is always traveling for games and my dad is in the army and yeah you know doing army stuff. My parents don't care what Jesse and I do, they don't care much about us. Like I was saying my names April, I have long golden hair, bright green eyes, abs, skinny, short, popular and smart. I am vice captain for the cheer squad even though I'm only year 9 and usually the vice captain is in year eleven or twelve. I am a cheerleader like you probably guessed.
"About time." Jesse complains as I finally step outside.
"Oh shut up."
I flip my long golden blonde hair out of the way and pop a piece of gum in my mouth then follow along with Jesse. I don't know why I still love Jesse and why he loves me. Yeah sure we are brother and sister but we are polar opposites. He's bad boy I'm a good girl. I guess it's because we are always alone together at home and I've seen him at school and he trust me.
Jesse is two year older than me and in year 10. He is good size for his age, has striking blond hair, grey misty eyes, abs, skinny and muscles.
I don't really know when he started being a bad boy. I guess high school. I know he started bullying in year 6 when some new kid came to our school.

"Fight, fight, fight!" People were shouting to the two boys in the middle of the circle.
I watched from my secret spot as my brother throws the first punch at the other kid and hits his nose. I sucked a breath in knowing that that would have hurt and wouldn't be surprised if it was broken. But the boy didn't hesitate and throws a lame punch at Jesse who easily dogged it. He started yelling at the boy but I couldn't hear. Before I could take everything in the boy was lying on the ground and Jesse was kicking him. And this is where I step in. I run up to the circle and push through.
"Okay that's enough." I say grabbing Jesse's arm and pulling him around.
"Come on sis you ruin all the fun." He says back.
"Good." I reply pushing his chest so he knows it's time for him to leave.
He starts walking backwards then sticks his finger up at me. This is no surprise. I roll my eyes and stick my tongue out at him before he turns around and walks off.
Our school does not care about fights. The deputy's talk to the people involved and whoever threw the first punch gets suspended for three days. Simple as that. They have absolutely no interest in braking them up.
I turn around and face the beat up boy lying on the ground. I hold my hand out and he takes it and helps himself up. He has a few bruises on his side and most likely a broken nose.
"You couldn't have jumped in earlier?" He said moving his jaw from side to side. "Tom."
"Well Tom you shouldn't have been an idiot and challenged him. April."
"Ok April well see you."
"Um no you are coming with me."
"And why would I do that? For all I know your taking me back to that stupid boy."
"1. I don't brake up fights than re-start them, 2. I wouldn't be caught dead calling him stupid and 3. I'm taking you to the office to fix you up."
