"I just wanted you to know."
1. Indie Jacobs
I placed one leg in the freezing cold water.
"You're doing the right thing" I tried to tell myself.
Next leg. Now sit. I lit the blunt that sit in my soap tray. Inhale. Blow. Inhale. Blow. Soon after, the "weed" took over, and I placed it back into the tray. I sunk down into the water, thinking about what would soon happen.
I thought about all the people I hurt. All the people I stole from. I thought about Noah, Chanel, Kingston, and everyone I loved.
It wasn't supposed to be like this. When I was little, I didn't fantasize about causing pain to so many people. Or taking people from their families. I was supposed to get married, with a family, with an education. But I'm just 22, without a high school diploma, a child who'll grow up without a mother, and parents who were always too busy to ask what was going on with their daughter.
I sunk down even deeper until the water until only my head remained. "No one will miss you if you do it. Everyone hates you now . Just get it over with." I continued to think to myself.
I took a deep breath and sunk my whole body into the tub. I was holding my breath for a few seconds, thinking about how I got to this point, until I couldn't do it any longer. I let go and the water consumed me.
