Thomas

You'd been running for hours. At least, that's how it felt. You couldn't move your legs anymore. Your sides ached badly and your throat was dry. You hadn't seen any Grievers, only heard them in the distance. Their horrible moans were enough motivation to keep you running. You never had felt this kind of fear in your whole life. Well, not in the tiny part you could remeber of it. You looked up at the sky and sighed in relieve when you saw the blue shade had cleared a bit. You sat down against a wall, letting yourself rest. The morning was coming. (Here comes the sun nanana, here comes the sun and I say it's alright.... No? Okay 😭) . You closed your eyes and inhaled deeply. Suddenly you felt all the pain you ignored earlier. Your calfs ached like hell, your knees were bloody from the times you tripped and you felt nauseous. You breathed deeply a few times trying your best to ignore all the pain. You sat there longer than you thought because when your opened your eyes again the sun was already in it's place, illuminating everything. You hear a soft rumble. You jumped to your feet. You never had been so happy to hear that sound. The doors had opened! But then you remembered you had no idea were you was. You knew you was far in the Maze because the sound of the doors had been very weak. You blinked to get the tears in your eyes away. "Just walk back y/n" you said to yourself. How badly you wished Thomas could be at your side right now. He would know what to do and where to go. You had more respect for the Runners now that you'd faced what they face every day. How could they keep doing it? You had started to walk. You walked for like two hours when you suddenly heard footsteps. You started running towards them. "Hello?" You yelled. "Y/n?!!" A voice shouted back. "I'm here, please help me!" Your voice cracking. The footseps came closer. And then he turned around corner. He, the boy you were wishing all night for. He runned towards you and wrapped his arms around you. "Thomas" you breathed, tears rolling over your cheeks. "Ssh. It's alright , you are save now" he shushed you. He sat down without removing his arms around you. He stroked your hair. "I was so afraid you wouldn't survive" he whispered. "Do you want water?" You nodded. He grabbed a water bottle out of his backpack and handed it to you. You thanfully started to drink. The cool liquid flew through your dry throat. After you finished drinking, Thomas looked you in the eye. "Y/n why did you enter the maze? You know it's forbidden."

"I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking"

"It's okay. But why?" Then you told him everything about John and the dare. After you finished your story he sighed. "C'mon y/n we get you back to the Glade." He said while standing up. He held out his hand, helping you up. Then you ran one last time through the Maze.

Newt

There you were , and in front of you a creature, size of a cow, slimy skin, mechanical arms. Yeah, ladies and gentleman, may I present you the famous Griever. Well sir Griever wasn't very happy to see you. You were terrified. Your mind went blank for a few seconds. "This is it, I'm gonna be Griever meal" you thought dramatically. "Well, let it do something for it's food" you whispered. Then you turned around and started running as fast as you could. Faster than ever before. Whirl, click, clack. The Griever came after you. Faster, corner, left right, click, clack. But the Griever was half machine so it was faster. You turned another corner and suddenly you felt a sharp pain in your back. The Griever had cut you with his knife arm. You screamed in pain but kept running. You ran for an half hour until you finally lost the Griever. You inmediatly stopped running and fell to your knees. Tears making your whole face wet. You put your hands on your back, touching your wound. When you pulled your hands back they were blood stained. You had to stop the bleeding. Luckily you were a med-jack so you knew how. You pulled your shirt of leaving you in your tank top. You wrapped the shirt around your torso. Hopefully it would stop the bleeding. You were in a lot of pain now. Your legs had given up, your back ached. Black spots appeared in your vision. And then you fainted. When you opened your eyes everything was brighter. You had a fierce headache and your back still ached but it stopped bleeding. You had to go back, back to the Glade, back to safety, back to Newt. You slowly stood up, you knew you couldn't run anymore so you walked towards -where you thought-the doors. The sun slowly climbed higher in the sky. You was hungry, thirsty, tired. Step, step, step, you continued walking. You turned around a corner and a bomb of happiness and relief exploded in your stomach. The doors. A mile away from you. You started running inmediatly regretting it. A few metres before the Maze you fell down. Luckily Newt had been waiting for you at the doors. When he saw you a big smile appeared on his face. Against all the rules, Newt ran into the maze and picked you up. He pecked your lips quickly and hugged you. You groaned in pain. "Newt, my back it hurts, Griever cut it" you said softly. Newt carried you out of the Maze towards Jeff and Clint. The two med-jacks gently turned you around and started cleaning your wound. Newt sat by your side and stroke your cheeks, he smiled at you and you smiled back. You was save now.

Minho

Remember when I told you I loved running? Well I certainly do love running, at daytime, without Grievers. Now you heard their terrifying moans everywhere. It sounded like a soldier dying in a battle. And then you heard them rolling, metal against stone. You didn't want to meet one of those rolling, moaning creatures at the moment. You kept running. You would run for a time and after checking everything was save you would rest for a few minutes. You also cut ivy so you would find your way back to the Glade later. You thought of Minho. Would he be thinking about you too? Would he miss you? Would he be afraid for you? You were resting again. You looked at your watch 5.00 am. In two hours the Doors opened (I don't know the time the Doors open so just pretend it's 7 o'clock). But then you hear a moan really close de to you. You jumped to your feet and ran. You ran like you ran with Minho that time a Griever chased you both. You ran for an half hour. The moaning stopped. The sky had brightened a bit. Just one and an half hour. You sat down to rest again. You closed your eyes and imagined uni-Grievers on rainbows. Naah just kidding. You promised to yourself that you would never fall asleep again, that you would be more alert and watch the hour. You promised to yourself that you would never ever spent another night in the Maze. You looked at your watch again. If you started running back now. You would be there when the Doors opened. You ran following the ivy you cut before. There were the doors, they were opening with a loud rumble. You gained some final speed and ran through the opening doors. Then you bumped into somebody. Before you could even look up to the person, he yanked you up and held you in a thight embrace. "Oh y/n, I knew those shucking Grievers couldn't get you" Minho whispered into your hair. You hugged him back a feeling of happiness filling you. "You're resting today." Minho said while he lead you to the Homestead. On your way to the homestead you met Newt he smiled. "Glad you're back y/n" he said and you smiled back. Minho lied you down in a hammock. He gently kissed your forehead. "Sleep a little bit, I see you later" he whispered. "Just don't fall asleep" you tiredly whispered back. Minho looked at you confused, not quite understanding what you were talking about. You waved him of. Slowly falling in a deep sleep.
