"Cas, honey, I think that's enough whiskey now,"
Dean and Cas had a few days off while Sam was out on a solo hunt. So far, they had eaten pancakes for dinner, watched countless films, spent hours just kissing, moved everything in Sam's room three inches to the left, and drunk one and a half bottles of whiskey between them. Now they were snuggled together on the sofa, limbs and blankets intertwined. Cas, surprisingly, had drunk the most out the pair, and he was incredibly tipsy. It was one AM.
"Dean? Can we do something? I'm bored." His words were slurred and he couldn't quite focus on his partners green eyes.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?"
"Yes, absolutely."
"Alright, what do you want to do?"
"Can we dance?"
"Sure, honey. I'll find a CD,"
"No, somewhere else. Not here. Here is boring."
"Okay, bumblebee. Where do you want to go then?" Dean tended to use more affectionate nicknames while intoxicated.
"I have heard of clubs but I have never been to one, are they fun?"
"I suppose so, yeah."
"Okay then." Cas strode over to the window and swung one leg out. He stopped when he realised that Dean was not with him and looked back worriedly. "Dean? What is wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just. Cas, that's a window."
"I am aware."
"Don't you want to use the door?"
"Doors are for people with no imagination." He was so matter of fact about it that Dean agreed wholeheartedly.
They jumped out of the second storey window holding hands, and Dean barely felt a thing when Cas landed on top of him.
To get to the nearest club, it was necessary to walk through the park. Dean was leading Cas along a winding path, trying to help him avoid walking into lampposts. When they had walked past the same memorial bench for the fourth time, Dean was forced to admit that they were lost.
"Honeybee,"
"Yes, Dean."
"I don't think we're gonna make it to that club."
"That is fine. Can we go back to the fountain?"
"Of course we can."
And with that they wandered off towards the large fountain that they had passed a while back. Cas chatted happily about how the water was sparkly like Dean's eyes, and Dean listened quietly. In their drunken state, everything made perfect sense, even when Cas likened the hunter's eye colour to that of a duck's head.
"Here we go, we have arrived." Dean announced.
Cas ran off gleefully, squealing like an excited child. Dean looked on, caught up in how lucky he was to have found a man that made him so happy. His thoughtful mood was rudely interrupted by a large splash, and he ran over to find his boyfriend sitting bewilderedly in the pool.
"You okay, honey?"
"I believe so."
"What happened?"
"It appears that trying to touch the sparkly rain was a badly thought out plan."
"Do you need a hand getting out?"
"No, I quite like it in here. Do you want to come in? The water is not too cold."
"Okay," Dean stepped in and sat down next to Cas, stifling a gasp.
