I quickly threw my bag over my shoulder as I jumped out of the window of Mathers girls group home. I couldn't stay there any more I just couldnt .

"Can we hear your statement one last time " The police officer asked as she got ready to write.

"I already told you "I semi yelled.

"Just tell her again "My p.o officer asked.

"My foster mother was working a late shift and it was just me and Josh my foster brother. He sat next to me and started to rub my hair. I got uncomfortable and tried to move but he pinned me down. He got on top of me and ripped my skirt off. Then he rapped me" I said. Tears formed in my eyes as I recalled what happened that night.

"Alright come on Diamond "My p.o office Mr.Clout said.

I stood up and followed him out to his car.

"You will be staying at Mathers girls group home " Mr. Clout said as he drove off.

"Is this a better place "I said remembering the last group home I was in I was rushed to the hospital for being unresponsive.

"So I've been told,best in the state of Georgia "

I put my head against the window. I've been going threw this since I was 6. My mother died in a house fire and my dad , I don't know him. I didn't have no where to go so I got put in the system. All my other foster families were mean or rude but tonight was my first time getting raped.

"Diamond ...I said were here" Mr.Clout said helping me with my bags.

Mr. Clout knocked and the door flew open.

"You must be Diamond "A lady said .She looked like the type of person to grow old with cats.

"Im Ms.Ruso "She said smiling.

She let us in and everything looked okay.

"Well I should get going Diamond, call if you ever need me "Mr. Clout said as he said his good byes and left.

"Come the girls are waiting in the living room " Ms. Ruso said.

I followed behind her . It was about 11 girls sitting around the living space.

"How about you introduce yourself " Ms. Ruso said.

"Ummm...my name is Diamond-"

"Mines Jewel " This girl said happily.She was white with dirty red hair pretty brown eyes,just beautiful all around.

"No interruptions "Ms. Ruso snapped.

"Y'all can call me Dia for short" I said finishing.

"Tell us what your goal is in life" This girl asked. She had long brown hair ,light brown skin and pretty brown eyes.

"My ...my goal in life is to be happy "I said looking down.

"She going to cry"I heard someone yell out causing a few laughs.

"Shut up you weren't laughing when I punched your ass in the lip" The girl who asked me the question snapped.

"No cussing Malaisha "Ms.Ruso butted in. "Go show Dia to her room ,you guys are roommates "

Malaisha got up and signaled for me to follow her.

"Don't worry about Tony ,she just mean all around " Malaisha said as we made it in the room.

"Thanks for taking up for me "I smiled a bit.

"No problem ,dinner already passed but if your hungry im sure Ms.Ruso wouldn't mind if I made you something to eat real quick " She said sitting on her bed.

"No thanks "I said laying back.

Jewel came in the room with 4 other girls.

"Im Taylor but you can call me Ty " Ty said holding out her hand for me to shake. Ty was a beautiful white girl with curly blond hair .

"And im stoni but you can call me stoni for short " she said laughing. I laughed as I shook her hand. Stoni was tall and skinny. She was light skinned with golden brown hair.

"Im Shatoria but you can call me Tori for short" she said with a smile. Tori was a medium hight .She was darkskin with her natural curly dark brown hair.

"Im Kacie " she said giving me a hug. A smiled at her kind gesture. Kacie was different. She was light skinned with red hair and a piercing on her lip.

"And as you know im Jewel the other girls didn't come because they are like really mean,but there names are Tony ,Zaira ,Claire, Fiona ,and Jennie" Jewel informed me.

"Well we should get going now lights go off at ten and its 9:45 " Tori said pulling Kacie with her.

"Good night " every one said as they walked out.

I finished unpacking and it was now 9:55.

Malaisha laid on her bed the whole time staring at the ceiling.

"You okay ?"I asked as I sat next to her on her bed.

"Im fine now get in the bed and cut off the lights " she snapped as she rolled over on her side.

I stood up without saying a word and did as she asked.
