I got to my favourite coffee shop a few minutes earlier than usual, but there she was sitting at the same table as yesterday, except this time she has a laptop and a cup of coffee.
I ordered my usual and went up to her.
"Hi. Sina is it?" I asked her with a quizzical look on my face.
"Umm yeah. It is." she smiled when she acknowledged me.
"Mind if I sit with you again?" I asked her pointing to the seat.
"Oh yeah of course. Make yourself comfortable." She said gesturing to go right ahead. I sat down and got comfortable. She saved whatever she was working on and turned off her laptop.
"I am so sorry, but I didn't happen to get your name yesterday. she said looking guilty.
"It's Andrew, but you can call me Andy." I informed her as Flaura brought my order over.
"Andrew. I went to high school with an Andrew Gates. Except he was a quarterback and I was the school nerd so he didn't acknowledge me." she rambled. I went to high school with her.
"Wait what's your last name?" I asked her.
"Zielinski. Why?" she responded hestiantly.
"As Emilia Zielinski? We went to high school together. I'm Andrew Gates." I told her shocked.
"Oh wow. How have you been since high school? How's your family doing?" she asked completely shocked as well.
"There doing good. My brother James is married with a little girl and my parents are doing great. As for myself, I own a business company now. How about you?"
"I'm good. I actually work as an assistant for Julia O'Brien on her hit TV show 'The House That Built Me'." she informed me.
We talked for hours just catching up with each other. I can't believe I went to high school with this girl and I didn't even know she existed back then. We must of lost track of time because before we knew it, the shop was closing.
"Thanks for today Andy. I'll see you tomorrow?" Sina asked.
"Yeah. Definitely. Well it was nice catching up with you. Drive safely." I told her.
"You too."
We both went our separate ways to get home. I can't wait to get to know her even more. Maybe we can be friends this time around. I hope we do. She's too special to let go now that I have her.
