"So..Mavrin..Uh you alright..?" Maxine asked, looking in the rear view mirror of the car, swerving from the danger that was fast approaching us. Her stupid question could of had so many sarcastic answers, but this wasn't the time for that..

"Uh, yeah I'm good thanks.. Just a bit shaken up.."

"Alright good, you seem to be gripping onto that extinguisher quite.. Well I guess.." She said this, clearly trying to make conversation and avoid the events that were occurring just a few feet from us.

I remained silent from this point, we all did. What could we do in a situation like this? Go grab a quick McDonalds or KFC? No. We had to find safety, find others and settle down somewhere. We were driving for a good hour or two, the commotion decreasing as we drove past. Before we came to a huge stop just before the bridge.

"Ma'am, step out of the vechile!" A stern voice said, on closer inspection, this man was clearly part of the military. Maxine stepped out, and me and Devlin followed. The man approached us, and looked at us with a concerned look. He nodded to the men behind him, as they approached.

"Nobody can cross the bridge, the city is on lockdown. We can offer a shelter for you, if you would like to follow Sgt.Markobre, he will escort you there. Leave your vechile and any other weapons you may have." The man said, looking at me, still gripping my blood stained extinguisher.

After leaving the car and Extinguisher, we were pushed in the back of a truck, with a few other people. A small girl was in there, sitting to what seemed to be her brother and mother. She was crying in her brothers leather jacket, as he was stroking her Jet Black hair. The small girl didn't look any older than 14, and she looked fucking terrified. I looked to Devlin, although we had only just met.. I felt like I could trust her.

"Hey, Devlin.. Where do you think they're taking us..?" I questioned her, directing my full attention onto her. She quickly looked at me and shrugged..

"No idea.. But I'm quite worried.." She said looking to Maxine who did not at all seem happy with something..

"Maxine, you alright..?" Devlin asked, tilting her head forward a bit to meet Maxine's.

"I just got that car.." She scoweled, she clearly wasn't happy with the precautions that came with the safety of our lives.

We were sitting in the back of this Truck for a good few hours, the heat was intense, I was sweating quite a lot at this point, even leather jacket had stripped off his jacket. It was quiet in the back of the truck, due to the heat distracting everyone. The truck came to a stop a few minutes after, and everyone poured out the truck like they had been imprisoned there for years on end. As I hopped out after Maxine and Devlin, we were greeted with a fair sized hotel, which had a few guards stationed all over the place. We were pushed inside, to be greeted with another bunch of men in military gear.

"Good evening civilians, you have been escorted here for your own protection. You will be assigned a room, and due to the lack of space you will have to share with other people. Whether you like it or not" The large man said this, before spinning on his heel and walking back into a room at the back. This was when the talking started and the mummers were going around.

I took in the scenery of the hotel at this point. The lobby was quite old fashioned, like Victorian fashioned. The walls were built with a dark red wallpaper, with elegant white pillars beaming over the place. A few old paintings hung on the wall, and they made the place even more creepier than it should be.

A woman in a military uniform came over to me, and rounded up about another 19 people. Devlin and Maxine were involved in this. We were forced up a set of stairs, that were a dark oak, and spiraled up all the way to the top. We came to the 6th floor, and were escorted down the hallway. We were pushed into hotel rooms, Maxine was with that small girl from earlier and what still seemed to be her mum. Devlin was with a girl in her mid-thirties and an old bird who was about 60. I was chucked in a room with leather jacket boy and a man who was clearly in his 50's.

After getting locked in the hotel room, the two men I was sharing a room with all just exchanged looks. Before leather jacket spoke up, I almost thanked him for breaking the silence.

"I'm Charlie.. Charlie Nickleson" He said, holding out his hand for me to shake. I shook it, and so did the old fella who was still looking us up and down.

"Well, I'm Mavrin.. Mavrin Ginoper" I said this, not bothering to attempt to exchange handshakes. Both of them nodded and smiled, before the old bloke spoke up..

"I'm Samual Berson, you can just called me Sam though" His voice was a bit worn and croaky, his innocent face didn't match the intimidating voice he came with.

We all stood in silence for a while, before I went to the bedroom. I saw two double beds, along with a pullout sofa. Without asking I jumped on the bed closest to the window and laid flat out on my stomach. Charlie followed, along with Sam.

"I'll take the sofa if you want..?" Charlie said to the old man, silently judging me for my stubbornness of not asking. The old man shook his head and tutted at his speech.

"Nah, you take the bed kid. I'm already aching as it is.. Can't have the young ones experiencing it too." He said, giving a faint but calming smile. Charlie smiled and sunk into the other bed. He looked at me from his laying position and I could tell he wanted the bed all along. We laid In bed for a while, before a conversation broke out..

We talked for quite a while. Before the lights were shut off, and we were plunged into darkness. Screams echoed through the corridoor, and I shot up from my laying position.. What was going on?
