Chapter Five - School

Kathryn's P.O.V

"Kathryn." I heard someone say my name. I looked up to see Niall looking down at me. Instantly I couldn't hold back all the tears I was fighting. He saw my face and then started to tear up as well. I jumped up and hugged him tight. He lifted me up off my feet and I buried my face in his neck. I broke down into a fit of sobs as I refused to let him go.

"Don't go. Please." I begged.

"I wish I could stay, but you know I have to go. It's my job." He replied.

"I know." I mumbled. "I just wish it could be easier than this." He nodded.

"I love you."

"I love you more." I cried.

"Niall, let's go mate." Liam said.

"Zayn." Niall said, knowing he wasn't gonna be able to just set me down.

I felt Zayn grab me and I held tighter to Niall. I started crying harder and I saw the guilt and sadness in Niall's face as soon as he got a glimpse at mine. Zayn finally pulled me off Niall and I clung to him, not liking the lonely and empty feeling I suddenly had. Reluctantly, Niall turned around and walked with the other lads to get on the plane. Zayn and I watched it take off and then he carried me to the car.

Zayn pulled my hood over my head and I hid my face in Zayn's shoulder while he pushed through the crowd of paparazzi outside the airport. He set me down in the passenger's seat and drove back to his house, where I would be staying the next two month's. I just had to get through these two months and then I would be with Niall again. I'd get to go back to America and tour with him and the other boys.

I know the next couple of months will be hard but I also know I can make it. I just have to keep myself busy. Maybe Zayn and I can go visit his family again. Or maybe I can get a job or go help out Simon in his office. Simon has let me go in before and work while the boys were there. I just filed some papers and faxed others. I also went and got him coffee and he showed me some of the things he does on a normal day at his job.

I should do more school work too. I could get my GED early through the online classes I have been taking. Then I could go on to taking college classes which wold get me closer to getting an actual job and doing what I love for a living. 

Or may be I could go to public school! I know there are some risks and things we'd have to get worked out. Not to mention that Niall would never let me. He especially wouldn't let me with him not being here. But if we look at it that way, I will never get to go to public school. Thinking about it, public school could be just what I need. Maybe being back around kids my age will help me get past everything a little quicker.

"Kathryn." I looked over to Zayn. "Want to stop for lunch?"

"Sure. Can we go to Nandos?" I asked.

He chuckled but pulled into Nandos when we got there. We walked inside and sat down. I order my favorite.

"So how has it been without Niall around?" Simon asked me as I was filing papers and he was typing something.

"Different. It's been fun staying with Zayn though. I get to go to the recording studio with him as well as hang with Perrie whenever she has time."

"They broke up." Simon commented.

"Yeah but they are still friends and her and I are still friends." He nodded. "We went and visited his mom last weekend and she taught me some of their family recipes which Zayn and I always enjoy making when we have time." He hummed, encouraging me to keep goinf. "Although sometimes it feels like I'm a bother mainly because I have no productivity in my life. I'm not going anywhere with anything. It's not like I have a full job. I don't even have a high school diploma to get me a solid job anywhere.
