Let them be the optimists
Seeing the good, even when there is none,
But not being aware of the realization of bad.
I'd rather be the pessimist,
Noticing the slightest bit of evil,
Like a hound notices the slightest scent.
To have accepted that there are flaws,
Not even the perfect things are perfect.
To be completely aware that bad things are plentiful,
And to not at all be surprised,
When something goes wrong.
I'd rather be considered negative
And then after despised by most,
Than to be living a fantasy,
Believing everything is a good thing.
Optimists are looked upon as motivational and inspiring,
But for what? Spreading the idea of a utopia?
I'd rather be misunderstood and critically honest
Than to lie that everything is good and fine.
If i could live with wrongs, realizations, and truths
I'd rather be the pessimist.
