Chapter 7

Cordelia POV

"The fish now the dolphin! Something is wrong with me." I said pacing back and forth getting into my bed. "That's I'm sick yeah sick." Mom came in with dad and they gave me concerned looks. "Bridget told us a dolphin spoke to you...."mom said sitting at the edge of the bed. "Nena did." "Nena??"dad said confused. "She said her name was Nena." Dad started laughing and mom elbow him till he stopped laughing. "I'm not making this up! First the fish and now a dolphin." I laid my head back putting my pillow on my face,"I'm officially gone mad." "You are not going mad Cordelia maybe you just um thought the dolphin was talking"mom said removing my pillow off my face. I gave her a weird look. I know what I heard I didn't think any of it, but they wouldn't believe me. "Maybe." I said sitting up. "Glad we agree, Bridget is still here." I smiled at my dad getting up and walking downstairs to my best friend who I saw sitting on one of the couches. She ran over and hug me,"Are you okay!?" "I'm fine." "Good cause you shouldn't have ran off like that!"she said hitting me. "Ouch, okay I'm sorry." "You should be now what was this about the talking dolphin?" "You wouldn't believe me so lets just drop it." "Just tell me no matter how strange and crazy if might sound I'll believe you." I smiled,"Thanks." "Hey what are best friends for."she smiled dragging me to a sit. I laughed at her and told her about the time with the fish and the dolphin."

Bridget POV

"That's cool!!" "What???!" "You can talk with animals. You have to tell me what my King be saying." King is my yorkie puppy. "I don't know its weird having to hear them." "Please." I beg. "Fine." I was super excited. My best friend can speak to animals weird, but cool at the same time. After she told her mom and dad we were leaving we set out to my house not far. "So why don't you like the water?" I asked as we was walking on the sidewalk passing by stores, cars, and people. She looked down,"I just don't like it. I feel strange around it like its wanting me to jump in, but I don't want to." That's weird. What does she have against the water and how can she speak to animals??? Somethings going on. We arrived at my home and we walked up the stairs inside. "Hi girls."my mom said walking into the living room. "Hey Mrs. T." "Hey mom where is King??" "He's probably upstairs you know he can't seem to stay in one place very long."she said walking back into the kitchen. I walked upstairs with Cordelia following up to my room to see King tearing up my pillows. "Stop!" I picked him up.

Cordelia POV

I laughed looking at the mess he made. "Ask him why he was tearing up my pillows!"she said holding onto her rip panda pillow which was her favorite. "Um King....why was you tearing up her pillows?" I said feeling stupid and crazy all at the same time. He looked up to me,"I'm hungry okay, sorry Bridget. "he said laying down on her lap. Okay he just spoke to me try to keep calm. I took a deep breath and another one."What did he say??"she said looking at me. "He says he was just hungry and he's sorry." "You can understand me!?" King said sitting up. "Yeah..." "Yeah what??"Bridget asked. "King just asked me if I understand him."

Bridget POV

I was watching my dog and best friend talk back and forth having a conversation. Cool!! "Let's feed him before he rip up any more of my favorite pillows." I said giving him a look and I could've swear he gave me a shy smile. "Right."she laughed walking out the room with King and I followed walking into the kitchen seeing my mom cook. I pour dog food in his bowl and he ran sticking his face in eating it up. "Looks like you were right." We both laughed watching him.
