My Mermaid Tale

Chapter 8

Cordelia POV

I ate dinner with Bridget and her mom and dad after we walked back to her room. I got use to the talking to animals, King isn't all that bad to chat with. I was on Bridget's bed lying down watching TV and she was at the edge on her phone going through pictures. "Awe I love this picture."she said showing me the photo I took of her and that dolphin. I smiled liking it too. "What did she say to you anyway?"she asked looking up from her phone to me. "That her name is Nena." "Do you think she's still at the ocean I would like to see her again you can translate for me." "Bridget I don't like the beach." "You can stay I'm going. King can keep you busy." She got dressed walkimg out the door. "Wait!" I called from upstairs. She looked up to me and smiled, "Hurry up." I rolled my eyes walking downstairs she grabbed my hand dragging me out and we ran towards the beach. When we got there we went to the spot we had today. "Nena!!!!"me and Bridget yelled but nothing. "I guess she left"I said. "Look!"she pointed towards a dolphin swimming our way. She ran into the water hugging her."Hey Nena." "Hello again."Nena said smiling. "She said hi." Bridget smiled,"Come pet her." They were in the water. "I think I stay here." "Cordelia we need to talk." "How do you know my name?" I said backing away. "Don't be afraid I'm friends with your mother, Queen Aquata and your sisters."she said. "Sisters!? My mom!? Queen Aquata???"I said confused. Bridget was just staring at the both of us more confused. "I don't have any sisters and my mother isn't a queen. Her name is Laura not Aquata."I said.

Nena POV

She doesn't believe me. I need her in the water, but how. I closed my eyes and started sinking to the bottom.

Bridget POV

"Omg!! Cordelia help!"I said trying to push the heavy dolphin up. I don't know what happen! "Okay um!! I'll go get someone!"she yelled. "Lia now she's too heavy!" She took a deep breath jumping in and pulling Nena up. Nena quickly open her eyes and drag Cordelia down to the bottom of the ocean waters. "Lia!!! No!!!!" They were too deep I couldn't swim down there. I saw a yellow light glow from underneath the water. I swam out quickly.

Cordelia POV

I was holding my breath trying to break free from Nena's grip, but she was too strong. I let go and a light shone, my legs were gone and I had a golden color tail which match my long curly brown hair and golden brown eyes perfectly. "Ahhhhhhhh!!!!! I have a tail!. I can talk underwater and I can breath!?" Just when I thought things couldn't get even more weirder. "Now you see. You are a mermaid. You are princess Cordelia."
