The meeting went extremely well. Jacob was able to sign off multiple listings and acquire new investors in the agency. I was so proud of him. He performed so well.

After the meeting was over, Jacob and I decided to get some dinner. We sat in the car in comfortable silence. I sneaked a glance over at Jacob, amazed at his beautiful profile. His jaw was so defined, so defined that it could slice through butter. His lips were a soft shade of pink. His gaze was focused on the road while one hand grasped the steering wheel and the other was on my thigh.

''Where are we going?'' I questioned him.

''Why were you staring at me?'' he playfully asked, a deep chuckle coming from his throat.

''How are you going to answer my question with another question?''

''It's a surprise.'' he finally said. ''Now, answer my question.'' he smirked.

I huffed before replying, ''You look attractive when you're driving.''

''Are you saying I look ugly when I'm not?'' he laughed.

I rolled my eyes, replying ''Oh shut up.'' I playfully punched his arm.

''We're here princess.'' Jacob parked the car in front of a cute little restaurant. He got out of the car and jogged around to open the door for me.

''Thank you.'' I flushed.

He pulled me alongside him and rested his hand dangerously close to my ass. We walked into the dainty little restaurant together and Jacob ushered me into a booth.

''I made reservations,'' he winked. ''For our first date.''

It was our first date. In that moment I realized we went through so much before we even went on our first date. Most of our time was spent in the office, working side by side. It warmed my heart to know that Jacob planned our first date. I see that he's trying so hard to make this work and it makes me so happy. I smiled and kissed his cheek in thanks.

Within a few minutes a short and plump waiter was at our table, handing us our menus.

''Mr. Edwards! It's so great to see you! Who is this lovely lady you have brought with you?'' The waiter exclaimed, with a slight French accent.

''It's great to see you too, Mr. DuBois. This lovely lady here is my girlfriend, Madison.''

''It's very nice to meet you, Madison.'' Mr. Dubois said as he politely shook my hand.

''Likewise, sir.'' I replied.

''I'll be back to take your orders, I wish you both a nice evening.'' Mr. Dubois made a slight bow and left.

''You must come here often.'' I said. In the back of my mind, I couldn't help think how many other girls he has brought here. Has he brought Tanya here before? I quickly shed my jealous thoughts though, as he reaches across the table and squeezes my hand.

''Yes, I used to. This was the restaurant where my dad proposed to my mom. We would come every year for their anniversary.''

''Well thank you for bringing me here.'' I whisper.

For Jacob to bring me to a place that has this much significance to him and his family means a lot. He probably hasn't brought any girls here.

''Let's order shall we?'' Jacob smiled.

I opened the little black and gold menu and my jaw dropped. This place was so expensive! I quickly looked up and started to voice my protest but was silenced by Jacob putting a finger up.

''Jacob, this place is so expensive!'' I gushed. There wasn't anything under the menu under $20.

''It's okay, I can afford it love.''

''I know but still, you don't need to spend so much money on me. I mean, pasta for $60? This is ridiculous!''

''Baby, don't worry about it. You can have whatever you like. It's not a problem, trust me.'' Jacob assured me.

I nodded my head in understanding, even though I wasn't quite happy about it.
