And here I am four periods later, arms crossed and lips in a pout. I can't believe I actually have detention for a week just because I told Grace about what happened with Mr. Rogers and Ms. Davidson. I honestly had forgotten that my other bestie had the biggest mouth in the whole school. Let's just say that's how us 'outcasts' were able to keep up with the daily gossip.
And would you believe it?! Jake didn't get any detention! Just because his mother would of came up to the school and make a scene. Unbelievable. The only good thing coming out of this detention was that I was able to finish my homework early. That meant that I could go straight home and SLEEP! But of course with every good thing there's a bad thing. And you would never guess what the bad thing is?
Suddenly, the door to the detention room opened with a resounding bang! Oh yea. The bad thing was rather a who than a what. Mr. Bad boy himself stood in the entrance of the door as if he was waiting for a round of applause. I snorted under my breath. Yea right. As if. Unfortunately for me, he heard my snort. As he looked at me the smirk on his face instantly grew and I groaned mentally.
"Mr. Jones, could you please sit down?," the teacher administrating us said dryly. She was an old lady so I wasn't shocked she sounded so dry. She probably lived home with a bunch of cats and a dying personality. Adrian started laughing at the front of the room. I blushed. Omg! Did I really say that out loud?
"Yes. Yes, you did," the dry lady said back to me. I winced.
Adrian strolled over to me but not before bumping fists with a few of his buddies at the back of the class and definitely not before winking or blowing a kiss to every young female in the class. When he sat down next me I sighed. Just like everybody else did, he ignored me. I sighed again louder. He ignored. I glared at the side of his head. Is this boy deaf? He probably is from all the sluts' voices screaming in his ear as he fucked them. Trust me. Those janitor closets are not that soundproof.
I sighed again, hard enough that my breath moved some of his hair. Feeling a tap on my shoulder, I turned around stared at the guy. It was none other than Brandon Hindes. Second notorious bad boy and best quarterback in the school. He has this blonde that almost seems white and hazel eyes. It's a weird combination but it's hot on him.
"Is there something I can help you with," I asked him.
He laughed at me. "I was just wondering if you were ok. You seemed to be breathing mighty heavy up here."
I could hear Adrian chucking softly behind. I swirled around quickly and glared my meanest glare which didn't seem to affect him at all.
"You think this is funny?!"
"As a matter fact, I do sweetheart."
Oh. So now I get a nickname. Doesn't that make me feel special? (Note the sarcasm)
"Don't call me sweetheart. I'm not your sweetheart."
"And why can't you be my sweetheart, sweetheart."
Omg, I hate this boy so much. I just want to wipe that disgusting smirk from off his face.
"Because you're disgusting," I responded angrily. "You have a slutty girlfriend and then you're here having a little affair with Kimberly. Like seriously dude! Who does that?!," I exclaimed.
Adrian's glare seemed to drill a hole through my head. But why was he glaring at me? It wasn't like I let out his little-Oh. Well, shit then. I winced and looked around the room. Some people had their phones recording what I just said. Shitzels. I am so dead.
"You're damn right sweetheart. You are DEAD."
2 HOURS LATER...
The rest of detention was spent with me trying to sink as far in my seat as possible. And with Adrian killing me with his death glares. As soon as the sand lady (that's how dry she was) told us detention was done, I flew through the door faster than the roadrunner. Stupid me, though, forgot to bring an umbrella and I ended up walking home in the rain. I already knew my parents were at work leaving me without a ride seeing as Grace was probably at dance and Jake was at home either babysitting his sister, Lacy, or playing video games.
I was only a few blocks away from home when the rain started to fall harder. I didn't hear the car coming toward me until the damn vehicle almost ran me over. I was about to yell at the driver until I saw that damn smirk through the window. Jesus! Doesn't that boy ever wipe that smirk off his face?
He pulled up next to me and rolled down the window.
"Hop in."
I jerked my head back in surprise. Was this some type of prank he was trying to pull?
"No." He rolled his eyes at me as if I was the problem.
"Nancy, just get in the car. I don't have all day for this. I do have a life you know."
Sighing reluctantly, I hopped in the car. As unappealing as it seems, I didn't feel like walking the rest of the home in this flood. It'd probably carry me away. A few minutes later, he pulled in front of my house.
"Thanks," I mumbled, hopping out.
"You're very welcome sweetheart," he purred.
Walking into the house, I could of swore I heard him say," The games have begun."
I was so tired that all I did was strip to my underwear and fall into bed. Before I went to sleep, I thought. 'The games have begun, Adrian.'
Suddenly, I shot up in bed. HOW THE HELL DID HE KNOW WHERE I LIVE???!!
