"Hey, ugly, fat whore! Why don't you go find a bridge and jump off it? ! Nobody here'll save you anyway!"
"Yo fatso! Go die in a hole and commit suicide and go bury yourself!"
I sighed. How am I going to die in a hole and then go commit suicide? I walked towards my locker trying to ignore the flying insults and people bumping against me as if they were a bowling ball and I was the bowling pin.
"Why did you come to school, you pig?"
"Ewww! Bitch, you are hideous. Go back to your family. No scratch that your family doesn't even want to. You're a disgust to them."
Comment after comment. Taunt after taunt. Insult after insult.
Everyday I go through the same thing and its nothing new.
I reached my lockers and found an assortment of gum on the front. Sighing, I ignored them like always. I felt sorry for the janitor. He would have to clean this up afterwards all because of me. Opening my locker resulted to a waterfall of hateful notes flowing down toward my beat up Converses.
" Wow. They must really love you girl," a voice said from the side of me. I shrieked and turned around ready to strike the person with the book I had in my hand. " Really? A book, Nance? It's gonna take more than that to kill me boo boo."
The voice belonged to one of my best friend's, Jake Austins. Rolling my eyes, I turned back to get out the rest of my books for my first few periods. " I told you not to sneak up on me Jake. I do unreasonably things when I'm frightened."
Jake as been my best friend since we were in first grade and met my other best friend, Grace. He's 6'3 (pretty tall) with ice blue eyes, chestnut brown hair and the build of a football player. Girls go crazy over him but he doesn't roll that way. He's been there for me when I was going through my parents divorce, I dyed neon colored streaks in my hair and my brother going in the army. And I've been there for him when he first came out the closet. He's the best gay friend a gal like me could have.
" Oh please Nance. You couldn't harm a fly if you had the chance to. Your too sweet," Jake said pinching my cheeks.
I smacked his hands away and scowled.
" Don't you have a class to get to or another boy to stalk?"
Jake gasped.
"How dare you say that?! I don't stalk boys. They just can't handle my hotness so they get scared."
I raised my eyebrows at him and closed my locker.
"Whatever you say Jake. I wasn't the one in a holding cell for 24 hours because I couldn't keep my hands off a certain boy at a certain party."
"Ooo! Are we talking about the time Jackie here molested that boy?"
That's my other friend, Grace Wilson. Grace has midnight black hair and violet eyes. A weird but attractive combination. She's the wise and reasonable one in our group. Jake's the wild and trouble maker one and me? I'm the creative and shy one. I'm also the one with blond hair and hazel eyes.
I laughed. " Yup. Jake thinks he doesn't "stalk" boys so I was just reminding him of the time he ended up in jail."
" Hey! Don't tease me! That was one of the most terrifying moments I ever experienced. I swear the guy in the cell across from me kept licking his lips like I was steak on a silver platter. And he had no fashion sense at all. Who wears plaid and stripes?! Ugh." Jake shivered in disgust.
