Finally after a long week I can have my Friday stroll home. I do them on Fridays because my pack-pack is always to heavy on other days. That's right I said pack-pack. I said bye to a couple people and walked out the door, and turned my phone on. I got a text from Aaron reading

Yo cant walk home 2day im at the auto shop wit alex stop bye after scool

I was now about two blocks away from the shop when this brown car pulled next to me with the windows down. I was on the passengers side window but kept. I saw about three men- two white and one black- sitting in the car. I wasn't scared though. It's brod day light school just got out, nothing was gonna happen.

"Yo can we get some directions to the nearest auto body shop Please we bouta die any minuet now"

the black man said to me.

I went a little closer to the car and gave directions.

"Um what you wanna do is go down two more blocks and take a left you can't miss it there is a bunch of tires"

I told them with a smile.

"Thanks girl"

He said and they sped off. I continued my stroll when about two minuets later I heard about three gun shots. When I heard them I ducked down behind the nearest car. Other people around did the same.

My heart was beating so fast. After another 3 minutes passed when I heard police sirens,and ambulance sirens going off. I got extra scared when I heard them near the auto shop.

I got up and jogged over to the auto shop. I saw Alex breathing really heavily talking to police and Aaron laying down on the ground getting help from the paramedics along with another guy that worked there.

I tried to run to Alex but I was stoped by a cop.

"Sorry can't pass"

"NO no no no please thats family in there please"I pleaded with teary eyes I looked over the officer's shoulder, and saw Alex crying. I let tears spill over when we made eye contact, and ran over and hugged me.

"I'm sorry Tahlah"

he cried into my hair

"it's not your fault Alex"

when I said that the amblemaces sped a way with Aaron and the other man.

"what happed" I asked with fear and confusion "I... I don't even know three guys just came here and shot the place up. Took all the money. But worst of all shot Aaron"

Three guys I though to my self. Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no. Its all my fault."Wh-wh-wh-what d-did the-ey lo-o-ok like-e?" I breathed. Alex looked worriedly at me "um three strong guys two of them were white and one was light skin black, maybe spanish"when he said that i stared balling into his sholder. "I already told the police what they need lets go to the hospital" then we got into his car to go to the hospital.

Its been three hours we have been waiting for Aaron to get out of surgry. Alex and Aarons's parents, and grandparents were here.Candence and Joeshep are his nana and papa. Small world I guess.

Kolby knows I am here and knows what happend but he can't leave work.

"I am hungry" alex whispered to me "want anything?" I just shook my head no he asked his mom and dad but they said no aswell."I can get it for you Alex stay with your family" "You guys want somthing from the vending machine? " I asked Candence and Joe " oh no thanks sweetie" Joe said while hugging candence. I have never seen them so sad.

I walked to the vending machine when a dark man went behind me. Of course my dollar wasn't working. I turned to ask him if he wants to trade dollars. He looked odly fimilar."hey do you wanna trade dollars?" we both awkwardly laughed. He pulled out his wallet and gave me a dollar. I tried handing him mine "no you keep it I have plenty" he was nice But I still couldn't shake the connection I have with him.

"Do I know you? From somewhere you look fimilar for some odd reason" I asked. "Nope never seen you in my life" he said. The way he looked at me though "I turned around back to the vending machine "so why are you here... if thats not being to nosey or anything " he was very friendly. "Oh um my close friend just got shot. We have been here for hours. Do you have the time by any chance my phone is dead"

"Oh its about 5:40. And really? Thats crazy I'm sorry. I have been here for hours too My wife is having a baby" thats nice. I moved out of the way so he can go.

"So how did your friend get shot?" I was leaning against the machine with alex's pretzels "robbery" I simlpy said "thats a shame. Well good luck with your friend" I looked at him "no such thing as luck" he looked at me again but this time we made firm eye contact. He looked disappointed in me. He looked guilty, then he walked away.

I sat back down with Aarons family when the doctor came. "Aarons family?" We all stood up."he isnt awake yet and won't be for another hour or two but he is perfectly kine. Excuse me fine. He was shot a couple inches below the lungs and the bullet just barely missed his stomach. All and all he is good to go on monday the latest." We all sighed in relife " only five people in there right now sorry" we walked down the hall. We got to his room and his parents and grandparents went in "its ok alex I will see him later." "You sure Tahlah we can tag team it or something" I laughed a little. Always making jokes. "No no no I'm fine just call me when he wakes up." Alex game me a light smile and a hug and went in.

I was in the hall way calling Janell to pick me up.

When I was done I was walking and some one called my name

"Tahlah" the guy from earlier said. I was gonna ask how he knew my name but then it hit me. I put my hands on my mouth " you do know me... I-Im your dad"
