Lost Souls

Chapter 2

Jo woke up in the morning with the memories of all the cuddling and kissing last night and smiled. Jo decided to run her fingers through Anna's hair and looking down at Anna who was still sleeping. Jo lifted her head that was on top of Anna's head and kissed Anna's forehead causing Anna to wake up.

"Oh good morning" Anna said then yawned

"Good morning we got work to do"

"Oh yeah guess we better get started then" Anna said then let go of Jo and sat up in the bed then leaned over to her duffel bag and zipped it open. Anna was biting her lip while going through her duffel bag trying to decide what to wear. Jo was watching Anna for awhile then decided to go get some clothes out of her duffel bag to change into.

"You know you look really adorable when you're biting your lip like that" Jo said while smiling

Anna smiled then proceeded to look through her bag then turned to Jo "Thank you but were you staring?"

Jo just sat there in shock "Yeah maybe I was" Jo winked at Anna then Anna smiled and laughed then got her clothes and started walking towards the bathroom to change

Jo watched Anna walk in to the bathroom and smiled to herself. She felt pretty happy whenever she was around Anna. She liked how they both got along great and seemed to have great chemistry together. Jo then proceeded to change into new clothes and decided to go sit in front of the window and wait for Anna.

"So how do I look?"Anna said when she got out of the bathroom. Jo turned her attention from the window to Anna. Anna was wearing a red shirt, black skinny jeans, and black boots that came up to her calves.

"Wow you look great" Jo said

Anna smiled "Thank you"

"No problem so are you ready to go?"Jo asked while grabbing her keys off the table

"Yeah let's go" Anna said then she started following Jo out the door and to her car. When they got in Jo turned to look and Anna and Anna then noticed Jo was looking at her then turned to look at Jo.

"So where should we start?"Jo asked

"Well I looked into the families of the three victims so I guess we should go interview them first then go from there" Anna said

"Alright sounds good just lead me the way" Jo replied then Anna lead Jo to the way to the first victims house which wasn't too far from the hotel. The house was small and white. Jo and Anna started walking up the driveway and towards the front door. When they got to the front door Jo knocked three times and they waited for awhile and nobody answered. Jo knocked again for the second time and nobody answered again.

"I think we should go in" Jo mentioned

"Yeah this seems a little off" Anna replied

Jo turned the door knob just to check if it was unlocked and it was just like she suspected.

"It's unlocked" Jo said then turned to Anna who was standing behind her. Anna just nodded in response then Jo opened the door slowly and peeked in the living room which was a wreck. Jo walked in and kept a hand in the machete which she had hidden in her leg holster while Anna was following behind her.

"I'm going to go upstairs" Anna whispered then turned and went up the stairs

Jo watched Anna go up then turned her attention to the kitchen which wasn't far away from the hallway she was standing in. Then started walking into the kitchen and saw a puddle of blood on the floor and a body of a woman laying there as soon as she stepped into the kitchen. Jo slowly went up to the body and leaned down to check for bite marks which Jo then saw two deep bite marks on the victims neck.
