"I cannot believe you could say something like that to me, Gianni Nicholas Rizzo!" Annie shouted at her friend with betrayal written in her big brown eyes. Rizzo glared at her as hard as he could before deciding to speak again.
"Well, I did, and it's true. Everyone knows it's true." He spat at her. He couldn't believe she was getting so mad at what he said. He thought that she'd agree with him, but Annie was known to blow things out of proportion.
"All these years. . .I thought I knew you." She stated sadly and continued on with her walk to school. Rizzo groaned and followed behind her.
"You're just jealous!" He shouted behind her with a winning smirk. She scoffed and fastened her pace eager to stop talking to the impostor inside of her friend's body.
"Jealous of Batman? Oh please, he's the weakest "hero" in the damn book!" Annie scowled at Rizzo. Their huge argument was indeed about their opinions about certain superheroes. Of course, this wasn't abnormal when it came to Rizzo and Annie.
"I beg to differ, O'Connor. I can't believe you praise that douche Superman. I could beat Superman." He puffed out his chest and smirked at her cockily. She rolled her eyes at his attempt to look buff.
"He'd throw you into the sun before you could even land one punch. Besides, you're not as strong as you'd like to think." Annie told him with a grin.
"Maybe I'm not, but neither is your precious Superman. I would buy one billion pounds of Kryptonite and take him down! Then we'll see how tough he really is, won't we?" Rizzo said to Annie who was fuming by this time.
"At least my hero doesn't need a lousy sidekick to help him!" She yelled to him in anger. By this time they were standing outside of the school, flocks of teenagers starting to surround the two completely. Annie rolled her eyes as she spotted a few girl who greeted Rizzo with slutty smiles and shorts that could be classified as panties.
Rizzo smirked back at them and then waved to a bunch of his friends on the sidelines of the football field who were smoking beside their girlfriends. Annie immediately felt uncomfortable about being near him. Rizzo was very well known amongst everyone in the school. He was the gorgeous bad boy that every school needed. He dated the entire cheer leading squad, he went out to parties with the cool kids in school. Basically, you were either on his good side or his bad side.
Annie put her head down when she took notice of a few people looking her way and snickering to their friends. Rizzo barely noticed anything off as he continued his high and mighty walk through the school doors, but Annie saw everything. They always talked about her behind Rizzo's back, but she didn't have the heart to tell him. She didn't want him to try and stick up for her like she was defenseless. She was way too proud for that.
Besides that, Annie's social status was well below Rizzo's. She had her own small group of friends that had fell into the category of "who are those weird kids over there?" since before she could talk. She wasn't bothered by it, but hated when she was put into the spotlight when she hung with Rizzo. It wasn't like she would stop talking to him because of some jealous high school kids. Rizzo was her original best friend and nothing would ever change that fact.
So she ignored the weird looks she got while walking with him to his locker.
"Robin is awesome! Watch your filthy little mouth, babe." Rizzo warned her with a flick to her button nose. Her nose crinkled instantly by the sudden attack.
"Hush up! You know I'm right." She stated and leaned against the locker next to his as she waited for him to get all his books.
"Whateva," He simply replied. Suddenly, Miranda Accola came bouncing towards Rizzo with a desperate smile on her lips. Her many bangles would clank together as she skipped next to his locker. Her shirt was far too off-the-shoulder for Annie's liking, her cheetah leggings were paired with leather boots, and her newly dyed pink tips made Annie want to puke.
