Chapter One

(back in highschool 2013)

~Calum~

It's halloween, so me and Luke decided to be Mario & Luigi for this evening's holloween party at Kyla's house.
"Ready bro?" Luke asked by the door.
"Nice outfit, Luigi" I complimented.
"You're not so bad yourself, Mario" He said copying the voice of luigi.
"Okay. Wait, has Jasey texted you?" I asked Luke as he check his phone.
"Not yet. She's still thinking of what to be for tonight" he said scrolling down through his cellphone.
"She can be medusa" i said as Luke snort and agreed with me.
"Last year she tried to be hulk. Like seriously? I would've understand if she'd be wonder women or something" I shook my head remembering last year.
"Dude, what do you expect? She's a Dude" Luke says, leaning by the door Frame "She looked like a frog though" Luke burst out laughing with his own remark as i join along with him.
"Boys! Ashton's here" Mum yelled from downstairs.
"Coming mum!" i yell back.
"Let's see what Ashton chose" I said as we both went downstairs to see ashton with a vampire outfit.
"Dude! That make up is sick!" Luke said.
"Jasey did it. Michael is there, he's trying to be Joker with his newly dyed green hair" ashton said.
"Sweet!" I said "we should go meet them there at Jasey's house" i added as we said goodbye to my mother who was giving away candies for treat or trickers.
"What? You're too old to trick or treat" the little dude said to us.
"Hey! No mentioning of age here. Damn, you're offending my feelings" i snap at the kid as mum scolded me.
"Sorry! Bye! We'll be at jasey's" i said as we walk side by side. A house after Luke's house was the Hyles residence. Before we could reach the front lawn, Michael went out looking all incredibly scary but cool.
"Dude! Nice" i said sustaining the 's'
"This is totally wicked" Luke said, leaning closer to take a look.
"Jasey did well with her face paint" Michael said
"You mean makeup?" Ashton said with a poker face.
"If you say it like that it would sound weird" Michael said.
"Where's Jasey? We're gonna be late. Everyone is already there" Luke said.
"Do you know her costume?" I ask as Michael shrugs.
"She told me she didn't have time. She's going with a simple one this year" Michael told us as we wait for her at her lawn.
"She should be fast..." I trail off as i saw her walking down her porch steps, fixing her helmet. Her abs was shown (she train a lot during volleyball) matching with her fierced look. I then realize, i was already checking my bestfriend out. Everything around me slowed down. She was walking towards our direction.
"You know, I wanted to be a zombie and all of that gross stuff you put on your face, but these two little fuckers forced me to do their make up, i have no time left to do mine" she said as none of us speak.
"What?" She asks.
"I-it's gooder y-you pretty" Michael stammered, mixing up his grammar as we all looked at him. It would've happen to me as well.
"Bruh, you have some issues" She chuckles and nodded her head "Let's go, we're running late"
And in that moment, we went back to our normal selves. At least for now.

~Luke~

Red cups were already scattering everywhere. Different kinds of characters are here. Wolverine, ghost, ax murderer, clown– oh wait that's Michael–Villains, superheroes and whatnot. I go get myself a drink when Jasper-Jock asshole-came up to me.
"Hey, you're friends with Jasey. Right?" He ask as i already know where this is heading.
"Yeah? Why?" I tried not to smirk.
"Do me a favor and consider her to go out with me" he spill confidently.
"Not happening" I said, as stifle a laugh.
"And why the fuck not?" His eyebrows raised as if what I said is impossible in any way.
"Because you're not her type" I told him. It was the truth.
"That's ridiculous! Im every women's type" he said pointing to himself.
"Not her" i said with certainty.
"How can you even tell? Huh, smarty pants?" he said as I smirk.
"Be my guest, go ask her out" i said as he fixed his varsity Jacket and walk towards Jasey. I wanted to help, but i might rather watch this from a far distance. Good luck, I thought to myself.
When Jasper came close, I can tell he's doing his charm looks on her.
"Dude, is that Jasper?" Calum went close. Laughter is already evident in his eyes.
"No way" Ashton laughed, holding his tummy "Loser" he added.
"This will never work" Michael appeared magically out of nowhere. We saw how Jasey rolled her eyes as she tries to walk away, until he grabs her arm. Calum, Michael and I were supposed to go get him but Ashton stopped us.
"Watch our man how she does it" Ashton said as we watch again and saw that Jasey slowly poured her drink on his expensive newly bought shoes. I saw jasey saying 'ooops' like a little girly girl as she rolled her eyes and walk away. From that place, everyone laughed. Jasey went close to us as she looks pretty damn annoyed. Not to mention Hot when she flips her hair.
"That went well" Calum muttered to my ear.
"So what did he say to you?" Ashton asked when she stopped infront of us, her hands on her waist.
"He was like" she started impersonating him "'Hey baby, i was wondering if you'd like to grab some dinner sometimes?' And i was like 'Bruh, no'" she said as we laughed.
"Did he ask why?" Michael asked already in tears of laughter.
"Yeah he did, which was such a turn off for a guy like him. He would've said okay and understand i didnt want to go" She shook her head.
"You find him attractive?" Calum asked; worried, perhaps.
"No! Ew. I was saying that because I was comparing him to you guys. You wouldn't ask why a girl doesnt want to go out with you, I mean its okay to ask. There's nothing wrong with it. But Jasper is pushing me with it. I don't like those. You guys would just say 'it's okay. I completely respect your decision' right Luke?" She faced me.
"I know I'm helplessly romantic and all, but you didnt have to rub it in my face" I said with a blank face.
"Awww...sowwy lukey pukey" she said hugging me. Somehow i feel like not wanting to let go. But she pulled away.
"Man up bro!" She said punching my arm.
"I could get two girlfriends in one day!" She said.
"Well duh! Cause they would think of you as a friend" i snap at her as she held her chest jokingly hurt.
"I am emotionally, and spiritually offended" she gasp. I tried not to smile but i failed.
"So you'd date him if he wasnt like that?" Calum continues.
"What? Pfft...no!" She wave Calum off "How many times do i have to tell you? Im into Girls" She laughs holding her tummy.

And I started to think that it's pointless liking this girl who likes the opposite gender of my own.
