Why Can't It Be?

Part One: I have to. . .

Timothy POV

I have always loved someone. But she's too far for me to reach. Even when she's inches away from me, I can't seem to move and I just let that moment slip.

I have been loving my best friend Harlyn for 7 years but unfortunately for me she's been loving Gabe for almost that long too. I know that its stupid to love somebody for so long and yet you can't even tell her how much she means to you because no matter how you look at it you already lost ironically the battle that only you knew about.

When I finally had the chance to tell her. . . because she and Gabe broke up over something stupid, she came running to me that late night and I opened my arms for her to cuddle into. I was about to open my mouth and I was forced to shut it because. . .

"Timo, I don't know what happened. I broke up with him but it seemed like my whole world stopped. . .

my heart broke into million pieces when I saw tears falling from his brown eyes. . .

and I fell down to my knees. . .

knowing that it doesn't matter what he did because I realized nothing will matter if I don't have him with me."

Then and there I stood still slowly letting my hands down to her hands and I looked up to her with waters in my eyes. . . and finally said. . .

"Har. I am in no position to tell you to stop or to tell you what you should do. I will be here supporting you until the end, as long as. . .

. . .your happy I am as well. You only get to meet the one you truly love once. . .

. . . .right?

Your tears need not shed no more, smile because you know. . .

. . .your smiles can make everything brighter."

She giggled a little. She took a deep breath in and. . .

as I gripped slightly tighter to her dress, I nodded and muttered to myself.

'PLEASE don't.'

She slowly let go of me and she flashed one last smile to me, the sun rays quietly showered her beautiful face then she turned her back then left with not another word.
