Chapter 1

*Megan's P.O.V*

"KAT!!" I screamed as I opened the door to her house. Kat was my irresponsible, best friend and once again she had left her front door unlocked. I honestly don't know how she can have peace of mind with her home basically open to anyone, however it was pretty convenient for a dramatic entrance, which I just so happen to do all the time.  "What!?" She screamed back at me, that's the other thing about Kat, she didn't even get scared for a second that it might not have been me busting into her home. Yet no matter how hard I tried to talk to her about being safer, she just never truly learned.

I shook my head and sighed thinking They say old dogs cant learn new tricks, they should meet Kat. I shut the door and yelled up the stairs, "Guess what I got you for your seventeenth birthday?" I grinned and spoke excitedly as Kat came down the stairs. Kat was a hyper and energetic person, if you were ever sad around Kat, it wouldn't last long. Kat is five feet and ten inches tall, she had lightly tanned skin, brown curly hair that fell half way down her back, and chocolate brown eyes.

She looked at me, surprised that I got her a gift after she had repeatedly told me not to. "Ugh, I thought I told you not to get me anything for my birthday," she sighed at me frustrated that I hadn't listened to her, I rolled my eyes "Whatever, you'll love it." She smirked a little then looked at me curiously "So, what'd you get me?" I gave her a devilish grin, knowing she was going to love the gift I had gotten her. "I got us concert tickets to your favorite boy band."

I had to cover my ears as my best friend screamed her lungs out in excitement. "OMG OMG!! Megan I love you so much! This is amazing!" Kat ran up and hugged me, squeezing just a little too tightly. She let go of me so she could jump around. All I could do was laugh at my crazy, weird friend. "When are we going?" Kat asked me as she finally started to calm down.

"Well the concert is in a week, it's a couple towns over so I booked us a hotel as well," I said to Kat, but I think she tuned out after I had said the concert was in a week. I guessed this by the fact that she was mumbling stuff like "What am I going to wear?!" I expected Kat to ignore the important details, like I said, you can't teach Kat new tricks, but I love her anyways.

The best part is, she doesn't even know that I bought VIP tickets and told them it was her birthday. They had emailed me right before I came to her house to tell her, she was going to be invited on stage to sign with the famous band, which I knew would be a dream come true for her, but I want to keep those a surprise to make her birthday even better.

Five Days Later

I finished packing my bag for the next few days when I heard Megan's car door shut. Perfect timing I thought. I zipped my bag up and looked around my room. Makeup, check, cute clothes, check, cute shoes, check, phone charger, got it, what else, I feel like I'm forgetting something. Megan walked into my room and said, "Got everything," to which I responded "I think so? Just double checking now." I thought for a second then exclaimed "Toothbrush!" and ran into the bathroom, grabbing my toothbrush, toothpaste, and hair brush. "That could've been a disaster," I said as I walked back into my room and packed them into my bag.

Megan laughed a little and rolled her eyes. "Alright, lets go. It's eight am and we gotta check in by four pm and it's a six hour drive, that's not taking into fact that we will probably need to stop once or twice, and traffic." I rolled my eyes, Megan was always kind of a worry wart, but she did keep us on track when we needed to be.

I grabbed my bag and followed Megan to her car, throwing my stuff in the backseat and making myself comfy in the passenger seat. Within a few minutes we were on our way. I was so excited
