STAR POV
"It's that time of day." I mumble. "When boredom clutches you with two hands and screams..."
"Star." Marco calls as he strolls into my room.
"I've never been grounded!" I scream as I grab his shoulders and rattle him around.
"It's not that bad." Marco states.
"So you've done it before?" I challenge.
Marco goes to say yes, then looks sadly and says no.
"THIS IS THE WORST!" I scream as fall onto my bed.
"It's not that bad." Marco repeats.
"No dimensional scissors. No mirror. No phone. No hanging with anyone. No school. NO MAGIC!"
"Star listen." He says, sitting next to me. "First of all, being grounded has nothing to do with missing school. It's winter break. Second, the only people that calls you on your mirror are your parents and Tom, your not missing out on much. Lastly, you're a light wizard now, my parents can't take that away from you."
"They said no magic." I explain to him.
"Yeah so?"
"Yeah so!?" I exclaim as I feel Marco's head. "Is Red still in there?"
"No and don't joke about that." Marco pushes me off of him, serious-like.
"Marco, I don't want to get more grounded!"
"Star I'm under house arrest for three months for what Red made me do." Marco coughs.
"Oh yeah, right." I rub the back of my head awkwardly.
"C'mon. Let's see some of that cool Light Magic!" Marco encourages.
"Well, I-"
"Star, Marco!" Mrs. Diaz calls. "Dinner!"
"Coming!" Marco shouts back and we walk downstairs.
There is a man in a blue jacket with shiny metal things clipped on is. I peer out through the window to see the letters P-O-L-I-C-E written across a car.
Dang these Earth terms.
"Mom," Marco says warily, "why is there a police officer on our couch?"
"He is just here to talk to you two." Mrs. Diaz explains.
"Yes, kids." The police officer nods at us.
"Why are you really here?" I snap, "Are you working for Ludo or Red or maybe-?"
"Star!" Marco covers my mouth.
"Let's start, shall we?" We sit at the table and enjoy our pasta as the police officer asks us more questions. The same as always, but I let Marco answer most of them still. I'm not used to what Earth people call lying...

POV MARCO
"This is going to be just a quick question between friends." The police officer says, gesturing his hands every opportunity to.
"Ask away." I sigh.
"Where were you, Marco Diaz, and the night 4 stores were spray painted?" He stares at me, whipping out a notepad.
"Asleep in my bed." I explain.
"I never said which night?" The police officer exclaims.
"This is my fifth inter ignition, I believe you mean the night exactly four weeks and two days ago?"
"Oh. I didn't know you had been interrogated so frequently."
"Yes we have." Star spits.
"Ah." He says.
"Yeah." I say, taking another bite of the pasta.
"You and your 'foreign exchange' student left your house and never returned for three consecutive weeks starting on the twenty-ninth of November and returning home on the twentieth of December, is that correct?"
"Sounds about right." I shrug and pour more sauce on my pasta. Man I hate lying but it's the only way to keep me and Star from explaining what happened, which was a horrible travesty that could get me and Star into MAJOR problems.
"Where did you go?" He leans forward
I glance at Star and turn back to him. "I don't know." I say plainly.
"How can you not know?" He leans closer.
"I don't know." I snap. "Like I've told all the other police officers, I have no idea what happened!"
"What's the last thing you remember?"
"Going to Games R US." I plainly state.
"Ah. And dropping dye-filled water balloons on people. Like your friend, Ferguson?"
"I don't remember that." I say, not lying in the slightest. Did I hurt Ferguson? Please say no. "All I remember is walking there. What I did there I do not remember." I conclude.
"Mmhmm. Sure kid." The police officer closes his notepad.
"It's true!" I half-lie because it was half-true.
"Well," the police officer stands to leave. "This was a waist of my time."
"I tried to warn you." Star snaps. I kick her in the leg to say 'shut up'.
"Well I will be going." He looks at my parents. "And another police officer will not be coming." He closes the door and I get up to leave.
"Marco finish your food!" My mom demands.
"I'm not hungry." I respond and I crawl upstairs and into my bed.
"Hello!" Star cheerfully squeals as she skips into my room.
"What?" I cough, my nose making my voice sound funny.
"You sound sick!" She observes.
"I noticed." I feel my eyes begin to droop shut.
"I'll go then." Star quietly walks out an turns off the lights and i close my eyes for good.
"Hello Marco." A woman's voice chirps.
"Hey it's you!" I say happily. I look around... Yup I'm floating in space surrounded by the stars.
"It is me."
"Thanks for helping us out with Red. We could have never beat her without you."
"I know. That's why I helped."
"Well thanks so much!"
"No problem."
"It feels weird to thank someone you never even met, let alone know who it is."
"My identity will be kept a secret from you until you must know what it is."
"Huh?" This is even confusing for me.
"I have some more important information for you."
"Wow cool!"
"Star is in grave danger."
"What!?" I feel my stomach drop.
"She can not be aloud to travel between dimensions or her life may be taken from her."
"Jeez." I mumble. "This is scary."
"Do what you must to keep her in Earth until I tell you she can travel again."
"I won't let you down!" I go to solute her but I can't direct my body.
"Thank you so much Marco." She says, her voice fading. I smirk and let myself float. It's a nice feeling, this dream feels so real. I wonder who's sending them or am I just dreaming it up?
"Oh and Marco?" The lady's voice returns.
"Yes?"
"Let's keep this little dream visit between the two of us, alright."
The place begins to move and brake apart and I know I am waking up.
"I promise." I say. "I won't even tell Star."
