POV STAR*
"Oh Marco!" I pant. He looks it me as we walk through the grassy field.
"What Star?"
I smile. "I'm so tired. Can you give me a piggy-back ride?"
Shocked, he shrugs. "Sure."
"Yay!" I cheer as jump on his back.
"Woah!" He balances himself.
"Am I too heavy? You can put me down if I am."
"Oh no. I was just... Surprised. That's all."
"Oh Marco..." I give him a hug and smile. "You're such a gentleman."
He turns his was and blushes. "Am I? I didn't even notice."
I laugh and shout "Onward!"
"Ok I'm going!" He begins to run and I laugh with enjoyment.
"Oh Marco! This day is perfect. It's so nice out and the soft breeze is amazing! Let's have a picnic!"
"Um..." He stops. "Ok."
"Awesome!" I cheer.
"Where are we going to get food and a blanket?"
"Leave the blanket up to me! I am a witch after all."
"Ok." He smiles. He enter woods as I direct him to the nearest town. I look around and watch as we walk under a glowing, blossoming Cherry blossom with the most amazing flowers. The petals fall with on us and I laugh.
"Marco these flowers are so cool!"
"I guess they are."
"Can you pretty please get one?" I hop off his back and run in front of him as look him in the eye.
"I don't know..." He looks up, "they are pretty high up."
"Aw." I look down and kick the dirt with my pink boots.
"Well," he scratched the back of his head. "Maybe I can try..."
"Marco you're the best!" I cheer and throw my arms around his neck in a hug. He hugs back and i kiss his cheek.
I can feel he's stunned.
"Star." He mutters.
"Was that too soon?" I back up and put on my best embarrassed face, "I'm so sorry. That was stupid of me."
"That's not what I was going to say." He mutters. I look up and he kisses me. On the lips. Electricity flows through me and we fall under the cherry blossom.
We look at each other and smile, his cheeks dark red.
"If I had known you felt that way," he pulls a Cherry blossom out of my hair. "I would have kissed you so much sooner."
I laugh at his remark and he gets up. He extends his hand and I take it. Then he looks at the huge cherry blossom.
"How are you going to get it?" I ask, my hands laced together with his.
"I'm not." He crouches down and pats his shoulders. "You are."
"Are you sure?" I ask shocked.
"It'll be a piece of cake." He winks and I lean onto his shoulders. He holds my legs and I reach up and grab a flower, but first I jiggle the branch and giggle as all the petals fall.
"C'mon." He starts to walk way and I tuck a flower behind my ear. "You want that picnic don't you?"
"Yay!" I cheer and stick my hands in the air.
We can see town it a few minutes later. We are on a hill, overlooking the rustic village. Everything is softly glowing and 5 suns, each a different color stretch across the sky.
"I wanna have the picnic riiiight..." I flip off of his shoulders and land in my hands and feet. "Here."
"Alrighty then!" He reaches over and grabs a stick. With it, he draws an 'X' right where I am.
"Now it's reserved." I smile.
"We should we go to get food."
"How about you pick and I'll say here and make the blanket with my light magic?"
"Sound good-" he cuts himself short.
"What?" I asks.
He throws his head into his hands.
"What?" I repeat.
"I don't have any money!"
"That nice lady gave me some." I hand him some of the bills Civ had lent me. Lent in the practical term I was never gonna repay her.
"This ain't right. I'm supposed to pay."
"Marco this isn't my money." I wave the bills. "Just take it."
He reluctantly takes it and jogs down the hill into town.
"What a gentleman." I smile. "I really did miss him."POV MARCO
"What a day!" I wipe my forehead. It was hot when there was 7 suns beating down on you. At least that's what Star told me while we were walking. I swing the basket and make my way up the grassy hill. Before I see Star, I check the basket one more time. This, out first date, will be perfect. I have;
-nachos (Star loves the triangle-ness)
-Soda (Star loves the bubbly-ness)
-BLT (Star loves saying the acronym as a word)
-2 slices chocolate cake with star-shaped sprinkles (self explanatory)
-4 fortune cookies (they predict the future!!!!)I repack everything and walk up more of the hill. I see Star sitting on a black blanket, the suns reflecting perfectly on her face
"A little dark don't you think?" I joke.
She looks down into her lap. "You know me, my magic ain't that good."
"I didn't mean it like that!" I gasp as I sit down next to her, "It's perfect."
She smiles and looks hungrily at the basket. "Whatcha get us!"
"I think you're gonna love it!" I smile as I pull out each thing.
"Wow a BLT." She says. I raise an eyebrow. "What?" She asks, staring at the cake
"Oh just you said BLT."
"Yeah?"
"Me and you had this 'fight' whether or not it was BLT or blt. It was funny."
"Oh yeah I forgot about that!" She eyed everything, almost dismissively.
"C'mon Star!" I sigh. "I got everything here especially for you!"
"I know," she sighs and falls into my lap. "I'm just so tired."
"Yeah because you did so much walking." I joke. She darts a looks at me. Why was Star so uptight now? And why isn't she eating any of the food I got her especially for her? Not to be a cry baby, but it was kinda hurting my feelings.
"Hey Star." I poke her hearts.
"Mmhmm." She mutters as she shifts her position on my lap.
"Why did you want this picnic?"
"It's just such a beautiful time of day. And I love spending time with you. That's all."
"Ah." I look sadly at the cake. "Why'd we get food then?"
"Dunno. I just thought I was more hungry."
"Ah." Was I already being pushed aside after an hour of dating?
"Marco calm down." She pats my knee. "This was all because I missed you."
"We were only apart for like 2 hours."
"Well it felt like 2 centuries." I could tell she fell asleep so I just softly stroked her blond hair. Accidentally, one fell out. Having a mini panic attack, I was about to throw it into te grass when I noticed it was red and black.
"Yuck!" I mutter and toss it into the grass.
Star mutters something in her sleep. The blanket we were sitting on vanishes into black mist. I'm feel shock fall over my body, wasn't Star lightness? I jolt and Star looks up at me.
"What's wrong Marco?" She asks, a smile plastered on her face.
But it wasn't Star's smile.
"You're not Star!" I shout as I throw her into the green grass.
"What?" She snaps. "Of course I am."
I struggle up to my feet. "No you're not!"
"What do you mean?" Her voice splits into two peoples. One was Star's and the other was...
"I really have to go!"
"What's the rush?" The split voice says. Star's hair has streaks of black and red in it as her eyes turn from blue to grey. I can see bat wings move, it's like the light bounces off of them but nothing else does. They are translucent.
I back up, tripping over the basket but regaining my balance. "I really had to get home."
"We aren't done with our picnic! Actually, we never started." Her voice becomes even more split.
"I really have to go, my parents must be worried sick."
"No." Star completely turns into Red, her voice no longer sounding like Star's "You're not going anywhere."*NOT THE ACTUAL STAR'S POV!!! (YAZ)
