Impractical daughter

The punishment was on my dad and I found it very amusing I mean how could I not.one thing was different though. He seemed upset as if someone had disappointed him. On the car ride back he said "Alex have you seen your end of semester grades?"

I looked down in shame and twiddled my thumbs. It wasn't that the grades were low it was just that they weren't up too his standards. I was getting a+'s in drama and gym however in any other classes I was lucky to get a B however my lowest grade was a c+.

He saw my guilt and his facial expressions softened. The car journey home was silent though and I didn't help getting out the car.when I walked in dad took away my iPod and phone for a punishment. It's weird because as soon as he leaves set his fun side shuts down.

He's not happy at the moment and I don't know how to fix that.for as long as I can remember me and dad have just been me and dad , no one else. That's what I'm currently thinking is that he needs a girl to give him extra love that he can deserve.

I think someone  with kids could be good for him however he doesn't really like kids and he's scared of cats.i can remember bringing a stray ing one time and he would scream like a little girl while running away.

Part of the reason I want dad to get a girlfriend is because I miss my mum. I never knew her because she died in childbirth. Dad doesn't like to talk about her even if her deaf was 14 years ago.

That's the thing I never had that person to take me dress shopping so instead I would wear boys fashion. I never had someone watch soppy films with me and I never even had someone to teach me about periods well I did but it was AWKWARD.

Could you imagine living without that big figure. Well for me it was a reality and dad wasn't exactly great trying to keep everything okay and also go to work. Often I would go to his work but it would get boringThat how me and murr got close I guess.

I leave my bedroom to go and talk to my dad." Hey we should do something" he looked at me dazed as if I was to say something completely different. "I can't I'm having dinner with the guys tonight"

He said it completely forgetting he had a daughter to look after." Don't look at me like that you know that afterwards we would go to a bar." This was not good. When dad gets drunk he can get a little sweary if you know what I mean
