Alexis was a young beautiful city girl she was a little different. Alexis went to the beach after school and thought to herself "Is everyone treated the same?" She struggled with that one thought everyday.
At school there was this school paper draw she decided to enter as she read "Wanna be the official school news writer? Join this Friday! You have till Wednesday to come up with a good idea and turn in your paper. Be the official writer for the entire month!" "I think I might do that!" She thought to herself. After school she decided to tell her mom the news "Hey mom!" "Yes honey?" Her mom replied, "At school today there is this ad talking about being the official news writer of the month. Should I join?" Alexis asked "I don't know honey" with a sad look on her mothers face. Alexis was confused "Mom are you okay?" "Don't tell your father this..." "Tell him what mom?" "I went to the doctors office today, and I have bad news for you" uh-oh Alexis thought to herself this isn't good. "I had testing today and the doctor said I have cancer." A tear ran down Alexis face. "How long do you have?" Alexis asked with a worried look on her face. Her mother didn't reply
This was crazy. Nothing made sense. I knew something was wrong but I didn't know that it would be cancer...
