As Maddie pulled into her house she wasted no time in ripping the keys from the ignition and hurrying out of the car. She walked quickly to the door, restraining the urge to bolt inside. She fumbled over her keys before finally getting the door opened and when she did she took a calming breath. Before she went inside her blue gaze shifted towards the driveway. She saw the car which she ha just gotten out of, but another look showed that the Bike she and Matty shared was gone from the driveway. Having only one car got difficult seeing as she and Matt ran in two completely different social circles and had to be at completely different places at the same time most days. So in a stroke of brilliance, they had gotten a bike. It would take a little longer, but now at least they could get back and forth if they couldn't find another ride.

Seeing that the bike was gone, Maddie let out a breath of relief. Matt had left for work, he was safe. With that in mind she suddenly felt ready to go inside and face the doppelgänger. The blonde witch slid her keys back into her pocket and then slowly walked over the threshold. "Marco?" She called through the house, noting that the lights were out and there was nothing but silence around her. Elena said that she liked the dramatics.

Maddie kept her eyes and ears open as she dared to venture further and further into the house. Without thinking much about it, the witch continued her teasing game of 'Marco Polo' as she glanced into the kitchen area. "Marco!" Still she heard no response so she walked towards the couch across the large open area. The Donovan house had a fairly open lay out, not unlike the Gilbert's place, so when you walked inside to the left was a kitchen with a counter and bar stools as a 'wall' and to the right was a small living area with a couch some chairs and a small TV. Maddie had hardly gotten to the couch when she called out again, "Marco!"

"What are we, five?" A snarky, yet mild amused tone came from behind her. Maddie spun around with a mixture of surprise and irritation to find the vampire doppelgänger sitting casually on the couch. Katherine was leaning back against the back with one legs crossed over the other as she gazed at her nails. When she heard the girl let out a frustrated sigh, she couldn't help the soft smirk that drifted onto her face.

"Katherine." Maddie greeted, trying to restrain herself from doing something she would regret. So instead of giving her a major witchy migraine or throwing her across the room, she asked. "Why the hell are you in my house?" and then as an after note she added "How are you in my house?"

Again Katherine just smirked before she finally turned to look at the little blonde witch. She took her time in responding, purposely pushing Maddie's buttons. "Well..." She droned lazily. "I told you I'd find you, didn't I?" Katherine's brown eyes looked the Mikaelson girl up and down before her gaze landed on her necklace. She turned ever so slightly to take in the pictures that were sitting on the little table beside the couch. There it is again. She thought curiously, realizing that she hadn't actually seen a picture of her without it in the house. Seems like I'll have to figure that out... She didn't want to leave anything to chance, and with something this complicated little things seemed to mater more then you would think. With that in mind she stood up and walked over to Maddie in three long strides so they were standing face to face. With a curious cock of her head, the vampire reached towards the blonde witch and took the pendant in her hand moving it so she could get a good look.

Maddie kept her eyes on the curly haired vampire as she walked closer and stood firm in the spot. She wouldn't give Katherine the satisfaction of seeing her squirm. She forced herself to stay still even when she reached for her neck. To her surprise though, she felt Katherine's fingers brush under her collarbone instead and had to suppress a gasp at the odd feeling that vibrated though her. It was still cold and sinister, but it wasn't the normal empty feeling of death, and there was something else, like a familiarity, a glowing underneath of it that she didn't understand, and hadn't remembered sensing before. Well, I was busy last time, it would have been easy to miss. It was for that reason that she stayed quiet and let Katherine look at her talisman.
