Ross.
I wake up a bit disoriented, not knowing where I am. It smells of half eaten lunches in here. Then it hits me. I'm going for that stupid field trip! I groaned and sat up straight. "What's up man?"asked Will, my best friend." You've been out for hours!" I was fuming."My mom made me come for this stupid field trip." I answered."She insists I'll learn something, but I see this as a complete waste of a Saturday!"We were on our way to an ancient set of Hindi ruins in California. All because of our stupid History teacher. "Are we they yet?"someone yells from the back row."NO!!" Mr.Thurman, out ninth grade History teacher yells back for the umpteenth time today. He seems more impatient than us kids.Typical. He's probably the only person excited to be going. After what seems like ages, the bus comes to an abrupt stop."We're here!"Mr.Thurman declares triumphantly as we all begin to exit the bus, eager to stretch our legs. He takes a deep breath and raises his arms high up."Don't you just love the smell of ancient stuff!?"He asks."Well not Ross' ancient gym shoes!"Connor, a tall ninth grader announces, drawing laughter from everyone present. Yes, even from me. I was just trying to make the best out of a bad situation. "Can we go in already?"squeals Sophie, a thirteen year old eighth grader, the youngest and smartest in the eighth grade. "We've got to wait for our guide." Mr. Thurman replies. Right on cue, a burly looking guy about six feet and three inches tall, with tanned skin and a thick moustache comes out of nowhere."I'm your guide."he says and quickly ushers us through the entrance.
I have a bad feeling about this...
