Morley
"Are you coming back?Ever?" I blurted out.
He looked up.
"Don't even get me started. The whole family will die out in no time. We are broke, desperate, and ruined okay?"
Kody scoffed then looked down.
"Like Sasha." He half coughed out her name. My stomach cringed and my voice lost itself.
"Why bring her up now." I say, my ragged voice giving away the fact that I haven't got over what happened.
"Gun to the head, then she lay there dead, bled crimson lakes." Kody sighed. I felt an aching feeling of regret run all over me. Then I felt anger.
"We tried to forget all that Kody! Shut the hell up and get on with life! We have to support Giselle and mom no matter what okay? Come back you piece of shit-" I broke down, it was all over. Kody covered his eyes. I fell and I lost it, lost everything that I kept inside for this whole time.
"Why did she though. I never understood. I was only five and you were fifteen. She was nine. Maralynn wasn't even with us." I mumble.
"You know godamn why." Kody groaned. I lay on the cold wet pavement. It started raining.
"I'm going to go." Kody started walking away.
"Everyone leaves. Even you. Soon others. I'll be the only one left." I say coldly.
"I'm going to steal something." Kody said.
"I'm trying to help." He added.
"I don't want you in jail." I commented, but he was already going to. It was too late.
Everything was too late.
