Chapter Sixteen: Renewing Vows.

Hey Wattpaders! :)

I'll keep this author's note short and sweet as I want to say something longer in the last authors note, I'm thinking of doing a few years later, like an epilogue. Would you like that? 

It's kinda different to what I would do, but I really want to give you some insight of later on in their lives, so yeah. I'm thinking of doing that, it will be out during the weekend of Monday. I know I want this story to be finished for the end of August, but if may slide into the start of September, maybe up till the 3rd.

The doctor gives us Dad's medication, "He has to take four a day and make sure he takes these ones" Showing us the other pills, "Before bed and after breakfast" She said to us.

I nod my head, before Mum beats me to it, "Thanks Doc" She said before we both turn to my Dad. 

Pointing my finger at him, I laugh, "You have a lot of medication Dad, bed rest I think" I said to him, he scrunches his face up at the bed rest comment, "Don't you think so?" I ask Mum.

Mum turns around to face us and lets out a laugh, "Yes, Hailee. Hunni, I don't care if you don't like it, your in pain" She replies to me, before giving Dad a wink.

Now it's my time to scrunch my face, "Okay Mum! I don't want anymore little brothers or sisters running around" I said to them, before I walk on out to the car.

Unlocking the door, I then climb in before I take my phone out. Dad's been in Hospital for a week, and it's been a week since I've spoken or texted Elliot. Shaking my head, I go through my texts, Elliot texted me four times today, I don't want to open the messages, but I know have to at some point.

Opening the first text, I then scroll through the rest.

Elliot: Hailee, please don't ignore me. I love you!

I blink numerous times, before I notice he did say I love you. Three words. I then scroll through the rest.

Elliot: Is your dad getting out today?

Elliot: Answer me, please. I want to be there for you.

I then read the last one.

Elliot: I need to know, if you still care about me. Jane and Max are renewing their vows, you'll have an invitation for tonight. Come please :)

I get interrupted by Dad and Mum entering the car, Mum plugging the car keys into the hole, the engine starts. I then sigh before I look back down at my phone, I then send Vanessa a text message.

Hailee: Elliot is still texting, should I reply? X

Sending the text, I wait for a reply. Seconds later, my phone vibrates.

Vanessa: Look Hailee, I'm your best friend and all, but like. You've asked Allie and me this question for the past week, what are you so afraid of? X

I then send a text back.

Hailee: What I'm afraid of? I'm afraid one day when we're together, he'll stop loving me. What if I'm not good enough for him? X
