"Happy birthday to me!" Sara said the next day as she ran up to Trisha and threw her arms around her. Trisha laughed.
"Yes happy birthday to you!" she said. "How old are you now, twenty?" Sara made a face.
"No I'm four, silly." she replied. Trisha looked over at Isabelle.
"Where's my brother?" she asked.
"He'll be here soon." Isabelle replied. She looked at Ethan and Heathers large farm house in front of her. Trisha had begged her to have Sara's birthday party here in the giant back yard and Isabelle had agreed. Trisha, Chelsea, Heather and Bradley had been planning the party and leaving both Isabelle and Sara in the dark.
"My daddy is getting me a present but he won't tell me what it is." Sara said. Trisha's eyes widened at hearing Sara call Bradley daddy.
"What a meanie." she said and Sara giggled.
"Come on out back!" Heather called poking her head around the house. "Everything is ready!"
"Go o,n baby girl." Isabelle said and Sara happily took off running toward the backyard with her yellow sundress swinging around her legs and her blond pigtails bouncing.
"Daddy?" Trisha asked after she was gone. They started walking toward the back yard and Isabelle nodded.
"Yeah. She asked him yesterday if she could call him daddy and he told her yes."
"I am so happy for you guys!" Trisha said happily as she clapped her hands together. "I was starting to worry that my brother would be lonely forever but you and Sara have made him so happy."
"Your brother is amazing." Isabelle replied.
"Glad to hear you think so." a woman said walking out of the side door of the house. Isabelle stopped and looked at her. There was no doubt that this was one of Bradley's sisters. She had the same smile and blond hair though she had her mothers blue eyes and plump waist.
"Isabelle, this is my sister Carolyn. Carolyn this is Isabelle, the love of Bradley's life." Trisha said. Carolyn shook Isabelle's hand.
"It's good to meet you, Isabelle. Trisha, Chelsea and my mom haven't stopped singing your praises for the last few weeks." she said. Isabelle blushed and smiled.
"She's a quiet one, Carolyn." Trisha said matter of factly.
"Is this Isabelle?" another woman asked coming out the same door Carolyn had. This woman had the same green eyes as Bradley but had darker hair.
"Yes this is, Isabelle. The shining light in our brothers life." Trisha said. "Isabelle this is Rachel our other sister." Rachel rolled her eyes as she looked over at Trisha.
"You have always been so dramatic." she said. Trisha just smiled.
"Bradley got the singing talent, Chelsea is the doctor, you and Carolyn are professionals at popping out babies and I am the one that is destined for greatness in Hollywood! Don't be jealous of me, Rachel."
"Nice to meet you, Isabelle." Rachel said turning her attention away from Trisha.
"Nice to meet you too." Isabelle replied.
"Come on girls! Sara is having a great time back here!" Heather called. The four of them walked into the backyard and Isabelle's jaw dropped. The back yard was full of more people than Isabelle had ever seen in one place for a birthday party. Everyone from town was there and kids were running wild. There were tables set up beneath a big white canopied tent.
"Is that a throne?" Isabelle asked looking at the large gold and gem covered chair at the front of the tent.
"Oh yea. Well I mean it's a plastic one but yea it's a throne. Bradley said she was a princess and he wanted her to have a chair to sit in that would make her feel like one." Trisha replied. Isabelle saw that all the kids were gathering in one place and she gasped when she saw the pony ride set up in the corner of the yard.
