-Fast Forward to Present time- (15 year old Kayla above)

"Sky cmon! We gotta get to school!" I say and knock on his bedroom door rapidly. No I didn't spend the night at his house, sure we have sleepovers but not last night. His house is basically my second home so I can just walk in and be like 'im home!'. You would think thats something you would do at your girl bestie's house but i dont have a girl bestie. I have Skyler.

"Im coming don't be such a pushy peggy." He says and pokes my side with his drum stick. I laugh and we walk down to the kitchen.

"Make me food woman." He says and sits at the table.

"Haha. No you are getting a toaster waffle." I say and pop two waffles into the toaster. He makes a pouty face and i mimic his pouty face.

We both laugh and he turns on the Tv.

"iCARLY!" I shout and he puts it on.

"Hello munchkins." Mrs. O'hern says and walks into the living room.

"Hey mom." Sky and I say. She lets me call her mom because im like a part of the family. Its not like a soon to be daughter kind of thing but its like me and Sky are such close bestfriends thing.

"You kids gotta get going now." She says and takes out our waffles. We grab them and head to the bus.

"Thanks." I say to the bus driver while getting on the bus. Skyler and I head to the back of the bus and sit in the seat that we have always sat in. When any girl tries to sit with him he gets upset and hops over the seat and sits with me. Such a great friend.

"I hope we dont have homework this week. That's gonna suck so bad if we do." He says and I make a pouty face.

"We always have homework so we probably will." I say.

"I know. Hey you coming to band practice today?" He asks.

"Kind of dumb question is that? Of course I'm coming like always. Are you going to come to my dance on friday?" I ask.

"Obviously. You are going to be awesome." He says.

"Thanks, you too." I say.

"Well I would hope so I'm the best dancer out of all of them." He says and flips his hair.

I punch his arm playfully.
We both laugh and we get off the bus for school. We walk to the cafeteria where we have to wait in the mornings before home room and basically have a staring contest.

"So are you denying my sick dancing skills? Because if so, that sounds like a challenge?" he says while still staring at me.

"Oh does it? I would like to see you try." I say while straining my eyes to beat him at this intense staring contest.

"You better watch out Missy mam I'll schedule a dance off at your school right now. And when I win you will bow down to me, the master of dance!" He says and stands up creating a scene of laughter. I pull his arm making him sit back down.

"Thanks for the episode. Whats next, you are going to sing the sound of music while Mr.Sherman gives a biology lesson?" I laugh and he winks at me.

"Challenge accepted. Better stop giving me these challenges before I get in trouble." He smiles.

"You are the one accepting them." I say and cross my arms.

"Right..." He says and the bell rings to go to homeroom. Unfortunately we don't have homeroom together and I don't have any friends in homeroom so it kinda sucks. But whatever.

"See you later." He says and walks to his homeroom.

I take a seat and pull out my book. As I read I here laughter from behind me. Montana...

Fun fact. Montana is the biggest narcissist in 10th grade. Nobody likes her but when she is around everyone automatically seems to love her because she is a complete dirt bag if she finds out that someone doesn't like her. Apparently the whole world revolves around her. Most of the people in my school are so fake. They are either fake or just scared of her, which I don't know why anyone would be scared of her. I feel like me and Skyler and my other friend jasmine are the only real ones here. Because she knows that we don't like her and she always tried to put me and jasmine down but not Skyler. Nope. She kisses up to him 24/7 because she hates me and I'm his best friend. Therefore she tries to take him from me.

I turn around and look at her. She smirks at me and pops her gum.

"Would you like to say something? Because if it's nothing worth my time, I'm going to read my book now." I say and she scoffs.

"Oh we were just saying how horrid you look this fine morning. In fact so horrid that it's not even a fine morning anymore. Your taste in wardrobe ruined it all. I must say the clouds kind of look darker too." She insults and everyone around her laughs.

"Awe well that's sweet. I'm glad my fashion sense could have an affect on your day. You must admire me so much to talk about how I change the color of your sky. Thank you Montana. You definitely made my day a whole lot better." I fake smile and turn back to my book. All I hear is silence and maybe a few little 'ohhhh's in the background.

The bell rings for first period and Montana storms out of homeroom obviously irritated by the fact that a freak just out smarted her. She'll get over it though. I got up and walked to my first period, band.
