Chapter 8

Armins POV
"Wake up ya ass faces!" Sasha yelled at me and Eren. I quickly sat up and screamed then looked her dead in the eyes.
"WHY ARE YOU IN HERE?!" I yelled, pulling the blankets higher over my half naked body (*nudge nudge* *wink wonk*)
"Heichou sent me to wake you two up! Also its breakfast time so come get food I'm hungry!" She began shaking Eren and he sleepily groaned in response.
"Fuck off." He swung his hand at her, shooing her away.
"Well ok then Mr.Grumpy Titan. Cya later!" She energetically shouted as she hopped out of the room.
"She's happy today..." I looked down at Eren who had already fallen asleep and chuckled. I rested my hand on his cheek and kissed his forehead lightly before climbing out of his bed and pulling my clothes on. He slowly followed suit and we walked down the corridor to the front door. I've been feeling a lot better since... The dream, and the whole thing with Jean and Reiner. We don't talk about it, but sometimes the dream reoccurs. I'll wake up sweating and sometimes crying, but erens always there to hold me. Erens always there.
We eventually made it to the mess hall and sat beside Mikasa and Sasha. Everyone was smiling like idiots but I couldn't quite put my finger on why until...
"Good morning cadets." Levi said in his deep voice, slowly walking behind me and Eren. I stiffened silently. Heichou scares me... Hey don't judge me OK? I'm a small, weak, yellow coconut and he's strong and the corporal of a military branch. What's not to be afraid of?
"Good morning Heichou" We all responded, my voice a bit shakey. Eren squeezed my hand under the table, knowledgable of my fear. I smiled weakly at him and looked up at Levi. I swear I could've seen him smile a bit as he said
"Happy Birthday Arlert."
What? Wait what? Birthday? Oh crap! Its my birthday! How does someone forget their own birthday?!
"Happy Birthday Armin!" Everyone almost screamed and I received hugs. I was confused and dazed for a while before coming to my senses.
"Oh... Thanks guys. I- I completely forgot today was my birthday." I chuckled, causing others in the swarm of people to laugh as well. Eren smiled softly and pecked my cheek, wrapping his arm around my waist.
"Well. I've had the cooks prepare a cake, its small due to rations but it'll do." Levi nodded towards me and walked over to the "Leaders Table". Maybe he's not so scary after all.
After we ate cake and some of Sasha's smuggled ice cream, we went outside for a "surprise". I wasn't sure what I was but I guess that's the point of it. I began looking around but didn't see anything at all. At that moment Eren rode around the corner of the building on a tall white horse. Like a prince of sorts. It took 3 people to help me onto the horse but, eventually, we were on our way somewhere into the woods. I grew more worried as we kept on.
"Eren are you sure there's no titans around here?" I asked, my voice higher than normal and my grip around his waist tightening.
"I'm positive. Hanji and Levi came out here yesterday and cleared them out." He explained, calming me a bit. I was still a little worrisome, but it should pass. We rode into a clearing where a small blanket and a basket layed neatly in he middle. I'm guessing this was the surprise. Eren smiled and helped me off of the horse, leading me to the blanket. He opened he basket and it was filled with so many different types of food I began to wonder if it was even legal. Eren chuckled as my mouth hung open, staring at the food. There was a big purple fruit in there that I didn't even know the name of. Eren said it was a grapefruit. It tasted weird but so did everything. After we finished most of the food Eren calmly looked at me and smiled.
"18 years old. We're both adults now." He remarked. I chuckled lightly and looked up at him.
"Yep. Its weird how fast like goes by when there's giants everywhere just waiting to kill you." I sighed and shook my head slowly.
"Exactly. That's why its best to find the person you love and spend the rest of your life with them, right?" He tilted his head in the most adorable way.
"I suppose so... Are you feeling alright?" I jokingly put my hand on his forehead. He smiled and nodded.
"I'm feeling fine Armin. I just have one question." He sat up slightly and reached into his pocket.
"Will you marry me?"

(HEY GUYS! So, important question. How will Armin respond hm? Over ecstatic or nah. You'll see. I feel like a movie director now.
