"What? For me?"
You stared at the bouquet of red roses Nana placed in front of you. You were currently at your hotel room, getting your hair and make-up done for a magazine interview you were scheduled for this morning, when she waltz in carrying the beautiful flowers in her hands.
"It says to Jane Lou and there's only one Jane Lou here, right?" she chuckled. "Plus my boyfriend isn't sweet enough to send flowers so spontaneously."
"Who's it from?" You asked as you leaned over and smelled the roses; its fragrant scent consuming you. "They're beautiful—"
"There wasn't a name. But—" she took a piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to you. "This came with it."
When Nana left to get her stuff ready, you opened the note and you swore you felt your heart skip a beat as you read:Can I see you again? :D
One name came to your mind as you made sense of the note and you were a 100% sure that the flowers came from him.
You just weren't sure why he would send it to you.
In fact you were curious of what he was trying to do; though in the back of your head, you had an idea. What comes to mind when a guy gives you flowers? It would've been better if it were a congratulatory gift or a welcome back to Korea present...But the note clearly stated: Can I see you again?
The sender was obviously asking you out.
Looking at the guitar in the corner of the room, you remembered the song you wrote the other night and sighed, wishing life wasn't so complicated.
Wishing at least your feelings weren't so confusing.
You looked at the flowers again then at your phone on the table, your hand slightly itching to take hold of it and call him—talk to him. But before you could, you were glad Nana busted into the room, stopping you from reaching for your phone.
"Ready?" She chimed as she approached with a bunch of make-up brushes. You nodded and let her take over, placing the flowers on the table where it remained untouched till the end of the day.

Jungkook felt like he was back in high school as he stared at his phone, waiting for something he knew was slightly impossible to happen.
But he couldn't help it. He couldn't help but wait for your text. He needed to talk to you—he wanted to talk to you.
"Yo, Jungkook."
Jungkook looked up and saw Jimin approaching, sweating and panting slightly from their routine. The moment they were dismissed for a break, Jungkook sat down in a corner and checked his phone; then just stayed there and waited like a lovesick fool.
Lovesick, he thought. Am I really?
Jimin sat beside him and handed him a bottle of water. "What's so important that you couldn't seem to let go of your phone?"
"I'm trying to beat a high score." He lied and Jimin chuckled. "Must be difficult since your battling with yourself."
Tell me about it, he thought as he realized his situation at the moment. He was definitely battling with himself. The moment you came back, Jungkook had been a mess. He couldn't stop thinking about you and although he knew that things were over between the two of you and the break up wasn't exactly something he liked to remember, he couldn't help but hope that there's still a chance at friendship...or more.
Jimin was just about to ask again when someone suddenly plopped down beside him, causing him to lean against Jungkook forcefully. "Yah."
"Mianhe." Taehyung grinned as he leaned back on the wall and sighed.
"What's with you?" Jimin asked, giving him a weird look.
"Whaaat?"
Jungkook smirked, finding his hyung to be quite amusing. "Must be tired."
"I've never felt so alive~" Taehyung sang and Jungkook chuckled as he stood up, leaving Jimin with the weirdo.
"You're not actually leaving me with him, are you?" Jimin asked incredulously just as Taehyung leaned his head on his shoulder.
"I'm hurt Chimchim..." he pouted. "You don't want to be with me?"
"He's all yours, hyung." Jungkook smirked as he went outside the practice room to make an important call.

You were in the middle of rehearsing for your mini concert in a few days when your phone vibrated in your pocket, interrupting you in mid-chorus.
"Sorry guys." You said to the band and the drummer, Eric, told you that it was okay and that they needed five anyway to talk about a change in the rhythm of the bridge part.
Nodding, you placed your guitar on the stand before grabbing your phone in your pocket only to almost choke on your own spit when you saw the caller ID blinking on the screen:
Jungkook
You bit your lip as the memory of the flowers you received this morning popped in your head and you almost pressed the decline button, not knowing how to handle a conversation with him; not after receiving those flowers...
The phone kept ringing and you sighed, knowing that Jungkook was the type to keep calling no matter what. When you were still together, you knew he rarely made calls and when he did, he made sure you answered them simply because he's going to keep calling until you answer.
Groaning inwardly, you swiped at your phone screen to answer and placed it on your right ear, "Yeoboseyo?"
"Glad to know you still know better than to ignore my calls." He said and you could practically hear the smirk in his tone.
"What do you want, Jungkook?" You said in a bored tone.
"Am I interrupting something?"
"I'm in the middle of rehearsals, actually." You sighed.
"Oh.." He said. "Me too."
"Then how are you calling me?"
"On break. We've been dancing for four hours straight."
Your eyes widened at the information and you said in a rush, "Wae? Jinja? Aren't you tired?? Are they giving you guys a hard time?"
There was a pause on the other end and you almost thought the connection had faltered. But a few seconds later, Jungkook muttered, "You worry a lot."
Flashback
"You worry a lot." Jungkook chuckled as you handed him a bottle of water and wiped his sweat from his forehead with a towel. It was late and you decided to pay him a visit at the studio downtown where he practiced his dancing almost every Thursday and Sunday.
Jungkook had signed in with BigHit and was officially a trainee of the company. The producers and trainers saw a huge amount of talent in him and found him to be very promising and so they trained him well and prepared him; saying that he was going to be big once he debuts.
"Because I can't have you sick." You said as you showed him a box of Chinese take out you bought on the way here. You knew he was dieting but he can't starve himself.
