My teacher asked me what's my favorite type of music, I said rock, she stopped, raised an eyebrow and continued walking down the aisle.
The look she gave was confused and surprised, but I ignored the very frequent reaction, turned around, and continued to smile.
The look doesn't phase me, no not anymore, because it just shows how our remedy isn't appreciated and won't be for a while.
Rock music isn't just screaming and yelling, its another way of expressing emotion just in a different style.
The more you listen, the more you feel, the more you relate, and the more our music becomes a pill.
A pill for depression, anger, loneliness, sadness, frustration, and much more and with this our music goes into our ears, to our heart and fills.
And that's what people don't understand, how my music, our music, is our cure, a happy place, a hideaway, a resource, and all together a place to go away and chill.
To get away from our problems for a bit and try to cope, try to understand, and in all certainty make time stand still.
We know there's no way to run away from the problem, yea and we know one day well have to face problems, analyze them, solve them, and learn from them, so let us have our break.
After a while, we will grow older, turn 18, maybe go to college or just get a job, get houses, families and retire for goodness sake.
But right now, we need to stop, think, and then react. Were only human and need time to cope. There's not much we can take.
So understand that rock music is just our hideaway and our helping hand to get us past situations before we get older and have to snap out of our dreams and our get aways and awake.
