Shall we start at the beginning? Or before that? Where all our characters meet? Come into place? Or with some backstory?

I mean, all fairytales start with a backstory. But, then again, this isn't a fairytale. More of a horror story.

So I'm gonna give you a quick overview.

A long time ago, well, actually, like, in 2005, the Dunbar twins were separated by their evil divorcing parents (well, they're not really evil, as the children learnt while they grew older). They would only meet each other for a weekend in the summer or a dinner on Christmas Eve, but that didn't mean they weren't as fond of each other as the troublemakers were when they were younger. As teen years sprang upon them, new technology meant they were the first people they would go to in a dilemma. The sibling would call the other and they would just need to say something along the lines of:
"Dad's being such a prick."
Or
"Moms new boyfriend is a dick."
And they would have their twins undivided attention.

Where as the Plorve family had never been the sort for home cooked meals or family board games or just affection, in general. They had been taught to fight, kill and keep in the shadows since birth, and they continued to raise their children in the same way. It's every man for himself, if they don't survive in the field, leave them for the dogs. It was kill or be killed. And Beacon Hills was full of targets.

So, what do we have? 2 Girls.
2 Heroines? 2 Villians? 2 Maidens?

No. That's not how the world works. We have two girls in one big puppy-loving mess.

Liam had known his sister was coming to live with him. When, he had no idea. His mother tried to keep it a secret but he saw the papers, and clearing out the spare room for a 'guest bedroom' wasn't exactly the most subtly hint.

And then, of course, their's Zanna herself, and the magical universal phenomenon that is texting. If she's the main person being affected, of course she's going to know all about it. But to tease him, she decided not to tell him when she'd be arriving. She wanted it to be a surprise. She gave him the period of two months she would be arriving in, and he wouldn't know when. It could've been the first day or the fifth week, who knew? Certainly not Liam.

But she was shocked when she arrived and she wasn't being driven the direction of Devonforth Prep.
"Mom, where are we going? We just passed it." Zanna leant forward to the front seat.
"You're not going to Devonforth. You're going to Beacon Hills High School." Her Mom said.
"Why?" She asked.
"Liam had a... problem, but with one of the teachers."
"What kind of 'problem'?" Her mother stayed silent.
"Was it this anger thing he's been diagnosed with? EID?" The girl asked quietly.
"IED. And yes." Her mother told her, pulling into the school parking lot.

"Are you sure you don't wanna wait until he gets home? I mean, I can just put it through at the front desk, I-"
"Mom." Zanna smiled at her fondly, grabbing the stick from beside her.
"I haven't seen him in forever. And he wants a surprise, so he's gonna get one." She jumped out the car and stood, taking in the high school she'd be attending next week.

Slamming the door shut, she advanced on the doors, asking the secretary for a guest pass to enter. The halls were barren before the bell rang through her ears, her head snapping at all the doors opening and people filtering through.
"You look kinda lost, are you okay?" Asked a boy with a wide smirk, blonde hair and green eyes.
"Yeah. I'm good." She breathed, cluthing the thin piece of metal like her life depended on it.
"Would you know by any chance where Liam Dunbar is?" Zanna asked.
"Why are you looking for him?" He asked.
"I'm sort of family." She smiled as he said,
"His locker is 287. Down the hall and to the left." He said pointed her in the direction.
"Thanks..."
"Garrett." He grinned.
"Right." She said awkwardly, heading down the hall.
