Jelissa
I'm so bored. My mom still hasn't come for me since yesterday night. I'm missing school and Laura. They won't let me speak. I'm stuck in this jail cell until my mom comes and bails me out. The officer said that in a few weeks I'll have to go to court which is ridiculous because I just finished telling him that a guy in a hoodie dropped a knifes and I picked it up thinking it was a flashlight. It was dark. I feel bad. My phone was binging and I knew it was Laura. I didn't get a chance to speak to her.
"Hey!" I yelled to the officer. He turned around. "Can I please just have my phone? My friend is texting me." He shook his head.
"No." He said and turned back around.
"But I got in a fight with my friend and if I don't clear it up now she'll never be my friend again." He didn't budge. "Oh forget it. I've probably already lost her." He turned around and tossed my phone.
"Thank you." I said.
Laura
I was in the gym change room when my phone binged. It was Jelissa. Ignore. It binged again. This time I pick it up.
Text Conversation
Jelly: I need to talk to you!
Jelly: I'm in jail.
L. A.: I know.
Jelly: how?
L. A.: Chelsea.
Jelly: what but how?
L. A.: I don't know all the details.
L. A.: all I know is that you really wanted to kill me at the park not talk. You disgust me.
Jelly: what no. I did wanna talk.
L. A.: oh ya? Well I bet you thought that person that you killed was me. Good thing the police was there to catch you.
Jelly: no no. That's not how it is at all. Just let me explain.
L. A.: fine.
Jelly: I went to the community centre to talk to you but you weren't there yet. I saw a flashlight and thought it was you but it wasn't. It was the police so I ran.
L. A.: why would you run if you didn't do anything?
Jelly: I don't know. Just let me finish.
L. A.: fine.
Jelly: anyway I stopped running and then some guy in a hoodie bumped into me and dropped something. I thought it was a flashlight but it was a knife with blood. The police caught up to me but I didn't kill anyone and I wasn't planning on killing you either. Your my friend and I would never do that.
Before I could text back Chelsea busted into the change room. "Laura come on! Your the last one in here. Class is starting." Chelsea said. I dropped my phone and walked to the door.
"Oh nice earrings by the way." I said leaving the change room.
"Oh ya. I should take them off." Chelsea said.
Chelsea
I took of my earrings and put them in my bag. Just when I was about to leave I saw Laura's phone on. I picked it up and saw that she was texting Jelissa. I carefully went threw the texts and found what I was looking for.
"Jackpot." I said to myself. I put Laura's phone in my pocket it and left the change room.
