Our story begins, sometime in the sixty-third century. The scene is that of a futuristic Paris. In the streets a harsh new plague attacks the poor while the rich watch from their balconies of polished gold. We begin with our youthful and adventurous lad, beginning his journey to manhood. He is of sixteen years, shaggy grey hair, and six-foot, one inch. He lives right outside the city with his mother, father, and a sister two years younger. They are neither poor nor rich and always have food on the table. And thus we begin our tale of an uprising and a secret the elders would die to learn.
