Seven hells
Maybe it's the hangover from last night. My head is still killing me, not to mention that this genie in front of me kept talking for 3 hours straight!
"....and whatever happens, no one should ever know that I am a genie! Understood?"
I can't keep my eyes open.
"Master!" Malakas na tawag nya kasabay ang paghampas sa table sa harapan ko kaya napabalikwas ako
"Ah! Huh? Yes!" I nodded hastily pretending I heard her
"You didn't listen to everything I just said, didn't you?"
"N..no! No! I listened!"
"Your eyes were closed"
"I'm visualizing what you're saying."
She sighed.
"Okay, I'll just point out the most important parts, first! Never let anyone take or break the locket. Not even a scratch, second, to never reveal my identity to anyone. May iba pa kong sinabi but please do remember these two commandments"
"Okay, okay, so I have a question"
"What?"
"I have 3 wishes, right?"
"Obviously"
"Can't I use one wish for unlimited wishes?"
She look at me like I'm a hopeless case
"You really didn't listen..at all."
"...You're right. I didn't" I said weakly taking her words
"Don't tell me that I have to sing like Aladdin's genie just to make you listen to me"
"That won't be necessary"
"Okay, so the rules for the wish." She clears her throat "you can only have 3 wishes, but as I said, there were limitations and rules to follow! You can't have more than 3 wishes! 3 is the limit! You can't wish for something unlimited like unlimited wishes, money or immortality, you can't wish for superpowers too so cross it out! I won't and will never bring a dead back to life for you and the same goes with love that I cannot make someone fall for you. There! I just repeated everything! Are we clear? Any more questions?"
"Umm, so, nag-eexpire ba ang offer mo?"
"Until you've completed your 3 wishes, I'll never leave, I'll stay. Does that answer your question?"
"Pwede na. so what about I wished for a normal life in my age?"
"Will you take this seriously? Once in a blue moon chance lang ang maka meet ng genie. Sabi pa nga ni Will Smith,'you ain't never hada friend like meh'- so show some enthusiasm!"
"Yeah... whatever." I don't even know who Will Smith is.
I don't even plan on letting this creature stay with me for more than a week. But that doesn't mean that I need to rush thinking of proper things to wish. Kung may wish man ako, one wish is already in my mind.
I want my mom back...
But as she said, it's never possible.
My alarm suddenly buzzes reminding me of the time.
"Shit! I need to get ready!" I almost forgot that I still need to go to work today!

After my 12 hour shift, I was finally able to go back home.
I came home with a smell of cooking food. A familiar comforting smell of home made dinner.
Patakbo akong nagpunta sa kitchen only to see the creature cooking dinner.
