Emptiness...

Nothing more, nothing less...

Just a never ending void of nothingness, that was until the sound footsteps reached your ears. You stood up to look for the sound, until...

"Woah! The fuck!?" How rude... You seemed to have startled the new comer, he looks at you in shock then releases a sigh of relief.

"Oh, didn't see ya there. Sorry bout that." He smiled at you sheepishly. You had to admit, he looks quite odd, dark brownish-red hair, a weird green hoodie with half of its face- yes, you heard me right. FACE.-on each side of the hood, pure white gloves fitted into each hand, saggy, black pants, he doesn't even have any shoes!

You started to ask questions to him since you don't know where you actually are, you just suddenly appeared in this place out of nowhere.

"'Where are we?' Well, we're in a place of nothingness but that's all that I got..." Way to go captain obvious! You are starting to get irritated.

"What? Are you trying to have little ol' me all for yourself?" He teased with a very irritating smirk. Is he stupid or something? You swore that he's not using his head.

"I'm just kidding. But you seem really pissed... Oh! I know!" He snapped his fingers with a thoughtful expression on his face then started mumbling things like "what first?" and "starts".

You took a good glimpse at his face, he looked to be in his early or mid-twenties, gentle expression yet very strong facial features, neat looking but will somehow always look messy, and very tired, dull eyes.  The bags under his eyes are really deep like he hasn't slept for years. His eyes are very odd too, he looks like a blind man because of his LACK OF PUPILS!

"Since I don't have anything better do with my life, I'll read you a story!" He said while as he casually pulls out a book out of nowhere and sits down.

You sat down facing towards him, you are pretty intrigued by the his way of showing you "kindness".

"Hey, take this as an apology for being a sarcastic asshole to you!"

He opened the book then started to read.

Once, between the fabric of time, there was a man living in an empty world.

He was the only person and the only thing that was in that world.

He didn't know who he was, where he is, or what he even was supposed to do there. However, he did know one thing.

He can create things from nothing!

Many ideas overcame his mind and with those ideas he created many things. He made a world of his own, a colorful world, a world without monochrome.

And yet... Why does he not feel satisfied..?

He thought hard about what was wrong, why does he not feel complete? "What is missing?" He would ask himself.

That was until he found what he had been missing, he needed something to keep him company, something that was like him. He had gotten an idea! He will create a companion!

Which made the first animals, he made all of them differently, some big, some small, some powerful, some not, some fearsome, some peaceful, and plenty more.

He wanted them to accompany him in anyway, the animals are delighted by their master's order.

And yet... He still hasn't felt satisfaction.

What was wrong? The animals were happy to keep him company but he does feel complete yet.

"What else is missing?" He asked himself. The animals gave him company, so what was wrong?

Until he finally found what was truly wrong. He needed someone that was like him, someone that could understand him, someone that can really relate to him.

"Another me..."

He then created the first human in the world. Just like the animals, he was made differently however unlike the animals he was able to create things too, the difference between his power to create things and his creator's power is that he needs to combine the certain elements to create certain things and that he can not create things from nothing like his creator.

The man's creator would spend his time showing him his gift of creation, they would take care of the animals together and would come up with ideas for new inventions.

His creator was content however he was not, he wanted someone he could relate to, he wanted someone that could understand him, someone that was like him.

Since his creator also knew about the feeling of loneliness, he made many more humans, some are like himself while others are different, the first females.

"I have given all of you the gift of creation so let your creativity run wild! Create a world of color for yourselves!" Their creator ordered.

After sometime, the humans have made a world as the creator told them to but not what it was suppose to.

They made a world that is dark and dull, they have abused his gift to them and used them for selfish acts, they have used his gift for horrible and cruel things!

Rage boiled from within him as he was prepared to get rid of all of his creations!

But...

"I-I can not do this.." He whispered as he weeped softly.

"Cliffhanger!!!" The redhead suddenly shouted as he snapped the book shut. But you wanted to know more!

"I'll read to you more next time or maybe I'll let you have the book later..." Wow! Really?!

"How about another story but I'm really damn lazy right now, so I'm gonna let you borrow this for now." He explains while he gives you another book that he again casually pulls out of nowhere.

"Oh yeah, don't give that back to me til' you're done. I might spoil you a lot." He tells you as he walks away.

Then you saw a bright flash, you looked around and saw were back at the place you were before you got transported to that world of emptiness.

You looked at the book that the guy let you borrow.

"The Clairvoyant"

A cliched title but it sounds pretty interesting, why not read it? That is what you're supposed to do.

You sat down on a comfortable spot then started to read.
