*NOT EDITED BUT I DID MY BEST*
■▪Cade's P.o.v▪■
Pounding my fist against my bedside table I growl harshly. My room was terrorized again but this time they left behind a sweet perfume like smell all over the house. Especially my bed. The scent was faint, really faint but there. I was confused though as I seemed to be the only one smelling it. I thought it was the alpha in me but my father didn't seem to smell it either. It smelt sweet like cherries and roses but since it was so faint I couldn't trace it. Was my mate really the reason for all this madness? How come she only left behind a scent today? How is she hiding her scent?
"Cade should we send out the tracers since you found their scent?" Tucker asked going on full Beta mode. Shaking my head I sit down on my bed and cover my face.
"No. What's the point if I'm the only one who can smell it. I might even be imaging it just go clean it up and consult my father." I spoke rubbing my temples. I'm not ready to be Alpha. Lately my father's been slowly putting more and more pack work on me getting me prepared for my reign as Alpha for when I turn twenty in two months. It's getting tiresome, I don't know how he does it.
"So you're just going to let whoever this person is to get away from it?" He asked looking slightly angry.
"Tucker there is no way we can find them it's out of my hands." I spoke sounding more tired then I let on making Tucker come up and clasp my shoulder.
"We'll find her man." He spoke looking at me solemnly which I just nodded at.
We will find her.
I know Connor and we'll never let her go. Never again.
Connor growled in his agreement and I nodded to myself. We will find her. Tucker sensed I needed time to myself and made an excuse that they needed hi I'm downstairs and left but not before looking me in the eyes and nodding as if he was trying to tell me he was fully on board with whatever I was going to do. He knew how important she was going to be to not only me but the pack one day.
She already is.
Connor growled out and no flopped down on my bed not knowing what to do. I wanted to go out and look for her but I also wanted to stay here and prove to my father I was responsible enough to help the pack even in my worst.
But you're not helping them are you smart one?
Growling in frustration I cover my eyes with my arms and pout. Not complying to either of my whims I just sat in an unmoving silence with myself just thinking. Why did she run away? Am I that scary? My thoughts were cut off by my father storming in and immediately starting to pace my floor.
"Alpha Johnson is so stupid! Rogues? Is he dumber than I thought? I mean I thought he grew out of his stupidity when we were kids! His pack is the most feared in the Americas! Why would rogues even attempt to sneak over? And do this to the house? What kind of rogue group would do this? And how did they hide their scents?" He angrily gripped his dark hair before stopping his pacing and looking over at my suddenly sat up figure before cocking his head as if to say what do I do son?
"I don't now dad a pack of prankster rogues does sound very likely..." I trailed off sarcastically with a smirk as he looked at me almost angrily before shaking his head and smiling.
"Uhhhhhgggggg." He groaned before walking over and collapsing on my bed. Laughing I lay next to him and we stare at my ceiling which had been lined with little glow in the dark stars and moons which have been there since I made my dad stand on my bed ordering him to put them up when I was six.
