“BEEP-BEEP, BEEP-BEEP, BEEP-BEEP!” goes my alarm clock. I quickly turned it off and rolled over on my back with my eyes wide open. It’s another brand new day. I checked my phone and the date read June 30, 2010 along with three new text messages; two of them from Cameron.

‘Good morning, sunshine! :)’ one of his texts read, and then, ‘Be ready by 10! ;)’

I checked the time on my alarm clock: 9:00. Perfect. Enough time to get ready.

I stretched out my arms and legs and rolled to the floor, being that I’m too lazy to get up at the moment. Five to ten seconds later, I’m off to the bathroom to wash up and do my hair and makeup, taking no more than fifteen minutes.

I walked back to my room and went through my walk-in closet to decide what to wear today. I looked, and looked, and looked, but no matter what, I can’t find anything to wear, yet my closet is a whole pile load of clothes. I need to go shopping soon, badly.

I soon found something to wear, taking me five minutes to find them: a blue Skillet ‘Monster’ tee with a little green monster in front, black skinny jeans, and a pair of black All-Star Converse high tops. My phone went off on my bedside and I quickly grabbed it, checking to see who it is: C-Side Quiseng, how could I have never guessed (note sarcasm)?

“Hello?” I answered with a low tone.

“Um, who is this? Can I please talk to Kayla whoever this is?” he asked, all confused. I let out a tiny giggle, and I think he heard me. “Kayla? This is you, isn’t it?”

I cleared my throat. “No, what are you talking about?”

“Kayla…” I can tell he was growing impatient with my immaturity.

I just laughed out loud for a few seconds until I realized I was still on the phone with him.

“Yes dear?” I asked him, trying so hard not to laugh.

“Anyways, are you done getting ready yet? I’ve been waiting patiently at your driveway for about five minutes already.”

I walked over to my window and looked down to see Cameron leaning against his car, talking to me on the phone. He noticed me looking up and we stared face to face for a minute. He looked amazing, like always. I revealed a tiny smile and said, “I’ll be down in a sec” on the phone, and raced downstairs to meet him outside.

“Hey, took you long enough,” he teased.

I just rolled my eyes playfully. “So are we going now or just hang out here all day?”

“We could do that, but then I won’t be able to take you to where I’m planning on taking you.” He grinned at me.

“Now you’ve got me even more anxious! Let’s go!” I opened the door from the front passenger’s side and sat down while closing the door simultaneously. Cameron soon got in the driver’s seat and pulled out of the driveway and we were soon on our way to someplace he will not tell me. No matter how much I give him my puppy dog face, he will not give in. He’s unbelievable sometimes, but, I still love him (as his best friend, of course).
