Victor’s daughter, Lily, was a strange girl, she had a strong sense of self preservation. Just like her father. She always participated in violent activities, and if you asked her why, she would reply, "I want to know how to defend myself." This made her an outcast in society, but Lily managed to pull through. Her father took good care of her and she aspired to achieve.

During her child hood she had many adventures, like when she was 12, and she, her two brothers, and her father brought her white water rafting in Uganda. They were at the toughest stretch of the rapids when their inflatable raft got snagged on a sharp rock. They heard a loud ripping sound and all the blood drained out of her father, Victor's, face The family inspected the gash, it didn't seem so bad, and there wasn't much of a choice. They needed to go on as best as they could. As they started to move the boat seemed to hold up, but their luck had taken a turn for the worse. As they rode down stream, a lightning storm started. The trees on either side of the stream started to collapse. They managed to dodge the trees until when one especially large oak tree got snagged in the same exact place the rock had only minutes before. The air started to leak out of the raft, as the air whistled out of the scratch below them each family member took a different course of action: Victor tried and failed to plug the hole with his hand; Thomas and Harold knelt down and started to pray; Lily was the only sensible one. She grabbed the trunk of the tree that had ripped their boat and tried to swing it towards the cliffs on the side of the river. It was to much weight, fortunately for her, Victor, her father, saw what Lily was trying to do, and he helped her. As soon as the tree came in contact with the cliff the boat was propelled into the side of the cliff. When the boat smashed into the massive rock wall Lily jumped up and started to climb. She was soon followed by her family, they all franticly scrambled for foot holds as they waited for an out crop where they could relax without fear of dying. When they finally found a ledge all four family members had at least six bleeding fingers. They stayed on the ledge for two days, until a search party found them and sent a helicopter to pick them up.

When Lily was 19, in the year of 1999, she married Gabe Johnson, a middle class carpenter with only one fault, the environment. Gabe was crazy about the environment, he would do anything to protect it. Here is an example, in the September of 2009 Gabe was rightfully found guilty of first degree murder. He had killed a multi-billionaire that had been cutting down the rain forest for more office space.

Lily and Gabe had one child, me. My name is Abraham Johnson, I was born on January 10, 2001. I grew up as a normal kid, I watched power rangers when I was young, and by age 9 I had an paintball gun. I was a rich kid because I babysat for neighbors and I caddied at our local country club. I was a straight A student, and the life I had was good. I had a few adventures of my own. I lived in Maine, the 'pine tree' state. Ever so often My grandfather, Victor would come to town, once, in the summer of 2011, He helped me build a tree house. Not just any tree house, but a fully livable complex, high up in the pine tree forest on the northeastern boarder of our 13 acre plot of land. The tree house had a kitchen, working toilets, and even a small gym, with a treadmill and weights. Your probably wondering how we could afford such a thing, well, Victor won the Nobel prize for science in 2009, and he put exactly half of his funds into my tree house, he spent the rest on lab equipment. I never went to see where Victor worked, I only knew that he lived in Nebraska, but not where. I didn't know it but not knowing where he lived would be the biggest barrier in my life.

I was a normal kid, until the time when my grandfather showed me the alien. He approached me during the summer of 2010 and asked if we could talk in the tree house. As we approached the rope ladder that led to the fort I noticed that he was limping slightly, and that a large bag was slung over his right shoulder. We climbed into the tree house, and sat down in the living room. He slumped down onto the silky couch, and started to pull up his pant leg as he spoke. "Abraham, what I am about to show you is not to be mentioned outside of this tree house, please, don't even tell your parents." The pant leg he pulled up revealed a 5 in long gash, about half of an inch deep. It looked like it was getting infected, and I could see the pain in my uncles eyes when he told me to try to take care of him. I helped him up and brought him to the tree house hospital. The hospital wasn't much, but it had disinfectant, and that's what we needed. First we ran him a hot bath, then we soaked his leg in the hot water for exactly ten minutes, finally, we bandaged the leg with lots of disinfectant. When this was done Victor brought me back to the living room, "Abraham, I suppose you want to know how I got that cut."

"Yes, I do." Without saying anything, Victor opened his bag and pulled out a cage. I stared at it, awestruck. In side of the cage was the most foul creature I had ever seen. It was all skin and bones, literally. It had a spherical head with a gaping mouth, a forked tongue, no eyes, no ears, and no nose. The creature tried to attack me, but it was held back by the wire cage. "Abraham," Victor explained, "this is and alien." "It doesn't look like much, but it makes a vicious opponent," he gestured to his leg. "It looks like it doesn't have senses other than taste and possibly touch. But when studied from a biological point of view, it can 'see' where you are, not with sight, but with the tongue. The tongue actually sends out a radio signal, and reads how the waves return, to see what the thing is, and how far away. It sends out one signal per second, which isn't much. The human eye..."

"Grandpa," I interrupted, "Does this thing have a family. How can you be sure there isn't an army of aliens coming to invade earth as we speak?"

He responded with a weird look in his eye, that their most likely were aliens coming, but that it is nothing to worry about. Grandpa didn't know how wrong he was, then he then got up and left, that was the last time I saw him.
