"Nathan....where are you taking me".

"Just wait we're almost there."

"Last time you said that I ended up with a face full of mud."

"Hey don't pin this on me, it's not my fault you tripped."

"I thought you'd remember I'm an embarrassing klutz."

"Well you're my embarrassing klutz."

"That was corny".

"Well I try".

Right now I'm blind folded walking, through a place I can't see with Nathan leading me. I'm leaving for art school in a week and Nathans he's been taking me on dates for the past six days. First we had a picnic at our secret spot, then we went bull riding- hard to believe I live in Texas and I've never rode a bull- obviously I fell of in five seconds but at least I had fun, then we had an all day Disney movie marathon- for some reason I'm obsessed with Disney- we ended our movie marathon by watching my two favorite movies frozen and big hero six, we went hiking to a waterfall in the woods it was supposed to be a fun surprise but the only surprise I got was a face full of mud, turns out I get startled easily and I'm very uncoordinated.

Today's my last day with Nathan before I leave and after my going away party I won't see Nathan for a long time. I try to push down that thought and enjoy the remaining time I have with Nathan.

"We're here", Nathan whispers in my ear, his voice sent shivers down my spine which fueled my excitement then he unfolded my blind fold. My eyes fluttered open, we were surrounded by pink flower petals, tall trees with pink flowers and petals fell on us, the trees were a canopy over us letting a few rays of light pass through. This is so beautiful, I've never seen a place like this. I turned to Nathan not knowing what to say, I didn't have to because he already knew what I was thinking. I noticed there was a beats pill on the grass, Nathan walked over and hit play.

Nathan held out his hand and bowed.
"May I have this dance m'lady," he said in a British accent.

"Yes you may," I took his hand. He held my waist with one arm and held my hand up with the other, I held his arm with my free hand and I think we were waltzing or ball room dancing-I really don't know the difference- and it was fun. Nathan would spin me and dip me, I would occasionally step on Nathans toes and turn bright red, he'd just laugh it off and continue dancing.
Nathan gazed intently into my eyes, those his beautiful sky blue eyes, they had this twinkle I've never seen before , he picked something from my hair it was a flower petal and he chuckled. I wanted to tell him how amazing this place was but I didn't get the chance, his lips crashed on mine. My eyes closed instantly, he held my waist with both arms so there won't be any space between us, I held his arms and kissed him back. Nathans noes bumped into mine which made be giggle in the kiss, he kissed me with so much love and happiness it was amazing. His lips glided to my jaw line placing pepper kisses down my chin and neck then at the corner of my lips.

I felt a tear roll down my cheek.

Nathan pulled away and furrowed his brows.

"Crystal...did I do something wrong?"

"No no no, every thing is perfect. I just realized how much I'm gonna miss you," a few more tears rolled down my cheek and he wiped it off with his thumb.

"No don't cry, you're living your dream, you can't let anyone make you feel sad not even me," there was a brief silence.

"You know.... When you left, every day I wondered what I did to make my best friend run away from me, I thought I was destined to be alone but it was just fate with its twists and turns. Every day I prayed for you to come back, but now it's me who's leaving......ironic huh".

"Crystal every thing happened for a reason, I'm not the same kid who ate pistachios with you on the monkey bars during recess. I've changed, that's because of you . You helped me the lowly shy nerd".

"Well you could say I'm a nerd helper", he chuckled at the name and held my hands.

"No matter how far away we are, no distance can break us".

"Well from Texas to London is exactly 4,906 miles".

"Oh so Weirdy is a smart ass now, I thought I was the nerd".

"I'm not a nerd I'm just educated," we both chuckled and stood in the silence. An idea flashed through my brain and I grinned at Nathan.

"Nathan can you promise me this".

"What?"

"Nothing and no one will change between us, pinky promise," I held out my pinky.

"Pinky promise," he connected his pinky with mine, I enveloped him into a hug, he wrapped his arms around me. My inner self never came back but I think I know why, I invented her because I was alone. But I'm not alone any more, I have my best friends, my boyfriend, my parents (who are now interested in my life) and a bully.

What a wacky life, I'm gonna miss her.

"I love you," he whispered in my ear, I got on the tip of my toes and kissed him.

"I love you too."
