Liechtenstein-- People inside the cards

You sat on the doorstep of her brother's house, tapping your feet and staring at the neatly cut lawn, and the flowers perched right beside the path to the mahogany door, with the gold plated lock. The fact that it was plated, and also the fact that many of the flowers were false even more proved how cheap her brother was. If she had never told you already.

You were lost in your thoughts as suddenly a you heard a long creeeeak as the door slid open. "Password," her brother, Vash, droned as you stood up. You couldn't see his face that much, but you knew all too well his sharp green eyes, thornish blonde hair, and his beret that he probably wouldn't, and couldn't, take off. His rifle was cocked, but you were quite used to this.

"German cheese is the wurst cheese," you droned as you did so many times before.

"Approved," he sighed as he slid the door open, granting you entrance. Ironically, it was only now he had looked at you to see who you were. He relaxed a tiny bit. "(Y/n)," he nodded.

"No, I'm freaking America, can't you tell?" you joked back. Vash's face didn't change in the slightest. "Can't you loosen up for one day?"

"And what would come of that?" he asked.

You considered this. "Good point."

At last, Vash knocked on the door of her room. She resembled her brother immensely, with the same shade of green eyes, and the same color and style of hair. But she wore a purple ribbon in her hair, and her eyes were much softer than her brother's. Nonetheless, it was quite hard to tell that it was an adoptive relationship, especially with how he had always acted around her.

"Lili!" he called.

Lili looked up, with doe eyes, and put down the set of cards she was playing solitaire with. "Hello Vash. Hello (y/n)," she acknowledged softly.

Vash opened the door further, and let you into her room, which was illuminated with a pink hue through her likewise curtains. The fan at the top spun wildly, putting a cool feel all over the room. You examined one of the intricate cards, the design of the crown on the back. You flipped the card over. You saw the Ace of Spades, beautifully decorated as they were in all of the packs. You weren't sure why it was this card, but you didn't care. You also knew it was the death card, but you were taught early in life not to believe such bullshit.

You saw Lili pick up the cards, and sighed. "You don't need to pick them up. I'll help," you offered. You honestly couldn't see yourself doing this. You also were quite surprised.

Lili smiled weakly. "I'm okay," she replied.

Nonetheless, you got up to help out your friend. She seemed to be staring at one of the cards. "What is it? Is there something on there?" you asked, examining the card, which happened to be the six of cloves.

"No," Lili shrugged. "I was wondering if there could actually be a six of cloves, you know, six people from the team of Cloves, and they could be off somewhere, playing games on the team of Cloves against the other teams."

A small smile flitted across your face. "Are you okay? You're not normally like this," asked Lili.

You stroked her hair. "I was thinking maybe that we could play it like that, you know, a roleplay, where little people are actually inside the cards." Lili considered your words. "I know that it could be intricate, but it can be as much as you want it to be."

Lili smiled. "I think it's a great idea!" she exclaimed.

-time skip brought to you by the fake flowers outside-

Vash knocked on your door. Already, it was the time for you to go home. Both of you were scattered in cards. There were cards on the ceiling, and cards on the wall. There was even one of the cards on the ceiling fan, and a card on your nose. Still, the epic battle of Squillyjim had been fought, and the justice was restored to all of the kingdom. Except the evil hearts, whose king, queen, and jack had been banished. But what about the Ace, who remained? Quite a mystery. "Vash?" asked Lili.

"Lili?" asked Vash, and slowly turned to you, eyes narrowing. "...(Y/n)?"
