Lottie;
Lottie fixed her ugly, plaid skirt as she walked through the crowded hallways of her school. She was walking with her best friend since the age of three, Jace.
Jace and Lottie had always had the cutest friendship and growing up everyone assumed that they would one day get married, have 2 kids, and a golden retriever. Despite everyone's assumptions, they were not the slightest bit attracted to each other.
"Did Parker seriously take away your phone?" He asked. Earlier today when Lottie was in AP English Luke would not stop texting her. No matter how may times she would ask him to stop he still continued to text her. After awhile her teacher, Mr. Parker, noticed that she had been staring down at her lap for way too long, so he came over and compensated her phone.
"Yeah," Lottie sighed, as they reached her locker. "He said I can come back at the end of the day for it."
"Well, guess you won't have to make the extra trip," Jace said, holding her phone in his hand.
"Holy shit! Thank you, Jacey," Lottie smiled, giving Jace a hug.
Jace clicked the middle button and her phone lit up. She noticed that Luke had continued to text her even after her phone was taken away.
"Who's Luke," Jace asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Shut up," She groaned trying to take her phone from her best friend.
"I miss you, babe," He mocked as he read her text messages. "God, I'm so hard for you."
"What?" Lottie squeaked.
"I'm joking he didn't say that." Lottie hit Jace's shoulder and slammed her locker shut after she grabbing her calculus book. "But seriously, who is he?"
"No one," Lottie sighed. She felt that her friendship with Luke would quickly end once a lot of people found out.
"Your lying. You have a crush," Jace laughed. It was rare for Lottie to so obviously show interest in someone. Normally she kept her crushes to herself.
"Give me my phone," Lottie said as they got close to her class.
"Not until you admit you have a crush on Luke."
"I hate you," Lottie groaned, slowing down her walking speed. "Fine. I have a crush."
"A crush on whom?" He asked, annoying Lottie even more.
"I have a crush on Luke," She mumbled, taking her phone and walking into her class.
