Chapter Two-------
No. This. Is. Not. Happening.
Her blue eyes meet mine for a second. Her smile is exactly as I remember in my dream. Just then all the mist in the valley clears away and the sun shines on her. Weird her hair is blonder then I remember.
I. Have. To. Know. Her. Name.
Drake is starring at me and then back at her. “Oh. My. God. You’re so thinking the dirty with that little birdie over by Maggi. I say, go for it! We are only young once. Then once we hit thirty, it just goes down hill from there.” Looking at him I give him the Oh-My-God-You-Just-Don’t-Listen-To-Your- Self-When-You-Talk-Do-You look.
“I know this is gonna sound crazy, but that girl over there, I had a dream about her last night. “ I look at the ground when I talk but I slide my eyes over to look at her. Our eyes meet and she smiles that amazing smile again.
“Wow. This is worse then I thought. That’s why you have that puppy-dog look when you woke up. So, what was it like? Crazy, slow?” Drake is famous for his facial expressions. He always has one for every situation and they look good on him. For this one he seems to have chosen the You-Sly-Dog look. Where he looks at me through the sides of his eyes and raises one eyebrow. Oh don’t forget the award-winning smile.
“Oh my gosh. No! Not everyone is like you Drake! I have never seen her before!”
Chuckling he says, “Okay well then, go talk to her. Get to see her!” So he pushes me, hard, towards her. Whelp, here I go.
Maggi looks up right when I reach them. Again that longing floods her eyes. The smile that she used to have when I would tell her that I found a new climbing tree, forms on her lips. Joy from the old days bubbles up through my chest and almost burst out through my lips. But my dream girl looks at me with obvious interest in her eyes. Looking in them I can see that she has nothing to hide.
“Tucker. Have you met Cally Lillieth?” Maggi looks at me expectantly.
“No. Hey, “ taking Cally’s hand I look into her eyes. I could get lost in them, “ I’m Tucker. “ From behind me I can here Drake laughing.
Maggi nods her head and continues, “ She lived here as a kid and just now moved back. She lived in England for ten years. Remember she was in our first grade class.” Wow she’s talking a lot. Then again not unusual for Maggi.
Then she speaks. Her pouty lips form the words and a sweet tinkling of bells floats out of them. Since she grew up learning to talk in England, a cute little accent caresses my ears. “Nice to meet you, Tucker.” Just hearing her say my name causes a flash of heat through my limbs.
Oh. My. God. I. Am. In. Love
Lost in Cally’s world, I hadn’t notice Maggi talking to me. “Tuck. Tucker?”
“Yeah?” God I just met her.
“Can I see your schedule?” Maggi says. Drake walks up to us with the biggest smirk I have ever seen. Giving Josh a high five he gives Cally his I’m-Liking-What-I-Am-Seeing look. I give him me You-Better-Back-The-Heck-Up look.
‘Oh my gosh! We have five classes together!” Wait, Maggi is excited to have five out of six classes with me? What happened in the past five minutes I have missed? What happened in the past two years I have missed?
