I stared at Neville who was sitting with his friends on the other side of the table, I've had a huge crush on him since 2nd year when I saw him hanging from the ceiling, courtesy of the Cornish Pixies, that was a weird year. Anyway he was talking to Harry trying to cheer him up about losing to Ravenclaw in a Quittidtch match (is that how you spell it?) "Y/n)?" My friend Ginny said trying to get my attention. "What?"
"Your staring again (y/n)" Ginny said slyly "I'm sorry I can't help it" I replied defensively. "Why don't you go ask him out?" She said with a smirk as Neville walked up to us. "H-hi (y/n)" he says shyly, "w-would you like t-to meet m-me at the l-lake later?"
"Sure" I said immediately.
-a few hours later-
Me and Neville sit by the lake taking and eating a picnic he prepared. "(Y/n) I'm really happy you agreed to meeting me here, I didn't think you liked me and-" he was cut off by me kissing him.
"I do like you, in case you can't tell" I say cheekily while he sits there slightly dazed before kissing me again, needless to say, best day ever.
