Alright, so... this will most likely be full of feels... It's a Tadashi x Angel! Reader. I'll stop trying to explain and just dive right in...

Y/N's POV:

I was helping a woman find her husband when I felt a call from headquarters. I passed her into the hands of another angel and flew off, wondering what task I would be given this time.

I took my scroll and flew to the side to read. Apparently I was assigned to watch over a young man, Tadashi Hamada. After making sure I knew how to get there, I left for earth, feeling myself go invisible as soon as I passed the gates.

It didn't take me long to reach his home, and then it was merely a matter of finding him. I was expecting to have to search for a while, but found him in the second location listed, a lab of some kind.

I looked him over, curious as to why I was here. It was rare that humans got an angel assigned to them, so he must be special. usually, we were supposed to protect and guide them. We never knew from what, though. That, only time would reveal.

He wasn't a muscular man, and I could tell he was a robotic sort of person, given what he was working on. His black hair was hidden beneath a baseball cap, though I could see a little peaking out. His chocolate brown eyes were completely focused on his work, and as I watched he groaned and turned his cap backwards. I could feel his frustration; I could read emotions a lot like colors, and he was a complicated mix of colors, from the red of anger the the yellow of anxiety to the pale gray of exhaustion. Clearly he had been working on whatever it was for far to long.

I knew he needed to take a break, so I looked around for something to distract him. Ah, there! I knocked over a box, after making sure that it was empty and wouldn't damage anything. He jumped a little, looking around and spotting the box. Sighing, he walked over and put it back, "Guess I didn't put that far enough onto the shelf."

I had done a good job of positioning him, because his eyes were drawn to the clock, "Oh my, how did it get so late?! Aunt Cass is going to give me the worst lecture!" He grabbed a coat and helmet from a chair and dashed out the door. I glided after him, thankful that I could pass through walls here. He climbed onto a scooter and drove off towards, I assumed, home.

I felt Tadashi's pride as Hiro gave his presentation with flying colors, after the initial mishap. I watched them celebrating, feeling a little left out. Over the past month I had been watching Tadashi, I admit I had fallen in love with him. He was just so... caring and thoughtful! But he definitely had a fun side to him, and had made me laugh on many occasions.

I wondered sometimes if he was starting to hear me, because he would listen for a moment when I laughed, then barely shake his head before going back to what he was doing. I had no idea whether that was a good thing or not. I mean, he wasn't supposed to know I was here.

The gang headed out of the building and I followed, watching Tadashi a little dreamily, imagining his arms around me. I barely noticed in time when the two brothers walked off to the bridge for a little chat. I rushed to follow them, something telling me I needed to stay close to Tadashi. That the reason I was here was about to reveal itself to us.

No sooner had I recognized this feeling, it happened. A fire alarm went off, and I felt my heart clench in realization as Tadashi and Hiro ran towards the burning building. No, this can't be happening! I flew to Tadashi's side, afraid for his safety. I could feel his emotions clearly, and I didn't like what I was getting from his thoughts. He was going into the building, knowing he could die.
