I can't believe i did that. I pushed her. I used my powers. She fell against the wall and i could have killed her. From that blow. Gladly i didn't. I hope.  Everyone saw and i used my powers. For the first time since dad died. Mom stopped teaching me

. I ran down the hall and out side. Once i got there i spread my wings and jump off the steps and into the air flapping them. I flew through the air tying to think of what to tell Mom. She'll get the truth. 

I flew home to find no one there. I look around the house. I sit on the love seat and practice lifting things with my finger. 

"Lindora, i know you're here. I could sense it from my house." My friend Kaleb says coming in the house. His famy owns the harvestin shop downn the street. Where Mom and I get food. That's where me and Kaleb met. He's a nice boy but not my type. Levion is more my type. WHAT?! SHUT UP BRAIN! "Having a mental argument huh?" 

"Stop reading my mind cotton warble." I say. He's also heard me talk before but not like my parents. I get up and walk into the kitchen. "Kay what's this." 

"Oh Mum made you guys some Tulip bread.  Your mum was asking for some." Did i mention Kaleb's British. Get's all the Fairy's because of it. Stupid Pixie.  In our land Pixie's are males. Fairy's are females. If you're wondering, 

"Kaleb?" I asks as i come into the room. 

"What." He asks turning to me. 

"Have you ever not been able to read someone's thoughts?" I asks him. A hand falls on my shoulder making me jump. 

"Sorry Lin, Kaleb...Wait can you not read someone's mind?" Kaleb's big brother ,Tennis, asks. They look alike. The dimples, curly brown hair, orange eyes, and soft features. The only thing that different is Tennis is a little bigger in body build then Kaleb. 

"Yeah. His names Levion. He goes to my school." I say putting the bread in the cabinet. I walk back into the living room and sit between the boys because if i don't a rumble of two will go on in my living room. Boy would Mom be mad. "It's weird because even though i don't talk, he asks so many questions.I wrote to him and told him we can't be friends for our safety. If the Queen found out a human was getting curious, she'd kill the fairy and the human. " I say sitting down. "What's a phone?" 

"Beats me." They both say at the same time. "ask the queen." 

"Stop that. it's scary." I say. 

"Stop what?" They say again. 

"That." I groan getting up. 

"Anyway. You have to take this mind reading thing to the Queen. If you don't bad things might happen." Tennis says. "OK well like bro, Mom wants us at the harvesting shop now. We need to get food." Kaleb gets up and they say goodbye. Mom walks in and looks at me. 

"Mom, I can't read someone's mind." Her face goes pale as she drops the groceries. 

"Honey, have you used any power in front of this kid?" I nod. 

"Today a girl slapped me so I pushed her really hard into the wall. I erased everyone's memory." Mom starts panicking.

"Do you know what this mean?!" She says in a panicked voice. "He's dead to us. If you can't read his mind you can't erase his memory. He has a mental wall. His real parents gave it to him. He's not human. He doesn't know it.." She stops ranting and turns toward me. "You stay away from that boy. Don't you ever talk or even notice he's there." She says pointing a finger at me. She knows something else. 

"Mom what do I  do other than that?" She shakes her head. 

"Nothing. Now go tell the queen." She orders. "

"NO! He'll die!" I screech. Why do i care? I mean he'll leave me alone afterwards. Somethings different about him. 

"Oh god it's starting," She mumbles. "Please Lindora listen to me. He's not worth your trouble." She says then mumbles. "Or pain." Pain? 

"Look, he's not  even my friend he just thinks he is. I never talk to him it's only him talking to me." I say. She walks away and i walk off to mt room. I fall asleep

I jolt up in a cold sweat screaming. I'm screaming for god knows what and it's scaring neighbors probably. I had that dream again. Why can't i remember. My lungs are burning from the screaming but i can't stop. It was crazy. Something that terrifies me this much. 

Mom comes in and wraps her arms around me rocking me back and forth like she and Dad did when i was little and had this nightmare. 

There's a knock on the door and then it opens. Someone runs down the hall and opens my door. Kaleb and his dad are standing there with their hand on their sword. He's so protective over me he could hear me scream from Canada. 

"Dang right I could. What the heck was that?" Kaleb says between breaths. 

"It was that dream. She keeps having it. It's start to become every night. " I can't speak my lungs hurt from screaming. I don't want to say anything. 

"Well that only means one thing. It's the dream, her Dad warned us about." Kaleb's dad  says. I furrow my brow. "Has she been able to remember it?" Mom and I shake our heads. 

"Lindora go take a shower. "Mom orders. I get up and grab a leaf and an outfit. I rush into the bathroom and turn on the shower head.I do my routine this time including shaving. Yes Fairy's shave too. 

I step out and change into a white tank top, a silver overlay top, a pair of ripped jeans, and my knee high converse. I put my air in a bun and poke my head out the door.Kaleb looks at me and grabs something off my desk. He walks over and into the bathroom.

"Look they're still taking but they were going to give you this." He holds up a blue 3-d diamond  shaped stone. It has a silver fox on it connecting it to a string. "Look you wear this and you'll be safe got it. It protects you from everything. Promise." He walks behind me and puts it on. "Never take it off." He whispers in my ear. 

"Lindora, come on. Time to get to school." I rush away from Kaleb not liking how he was sucked up on me holding my waist. I run out the door and down to the bus stop. Levion looks over at me and I realize i forgot the contacts again. 

"Hey Lindora?' Levion says. I stare into the seat in front of me ignoring him. "Lindora?" I tune him out. I see him out of the corner ofmy eye calling me and getting frusterated. 

"Hey Lindora." Carter says. I look up and wave just to tick Levion off. I look back at the seat. "Hey, Levion wants you." I shrug. "Are you going to answer?" I shake my head. "Why not?" I shrug. "We're actually almost having a conversation." He laughs. I roll my eyes and just stare. 

"Hey Lindora?" Jake says from above me. "Would you like to go out on a date Friday?" I look up at him. "Cool eyes. I love the contacts." I nod and smile. "So yes to the date." I nod. 

What am i getting myself into.
