I woke up and tried to get back to sleep, but I couldn't get back to sleep, so i decided to get up and have a shower, then i shaved and put some washing in, also did some dusting (not that there was much dust). Then i looked at my phone and it was only 8:32 so i wrote a diary entry:
Dear diary,
I am getting used to living on this ship, which is good because we will be on it for a few months. Also, I am very happy since we don't have to pay anything to live on this ship except for when we did at the start we are going out a lot for our meals so I think we will stay in for tea today, I got a great view up on deck yesterday, it seemed like a fairytale, the water was swaying gently and the sun was setting with the red and orange colours around it, it all felt so magical. I think I just heard Kat wake up so I will make her breakfast now. I will write to you later tonight.

Kat walked into the front room and she brought her diary with her and she wrote in it, I cooked her sausages, eggs and chips. While she was eating she asked if I would remind her to write in her diary everyday, then Sam woke up with her friend and i gave them both Toast which they wanted. After that Sam's friend went back to her room her mum said it was room 72 if Sam ever wanted to go round, she also said her name was Jenny.
Me and Sam went and got some stuff for Kat's birthday later that morning, we got: Coca cola t-shirt, blue hoodie, pen with her name on, blue and pink phone pocket case, Blue and red birthday cake, blue and white stripy candles, the view of up on deck (printed specially from my phone) and wrapping paper which says happy birthday all over it. I also got a diary for Sam's birthday but I had to be very careful whilst buying it.
We got home and Sarah took Kat up on deck at the top I had to text Sarah quickly to get a large blue picture frame for Kat's picture up on deck. I wrapped most of Kat's presents, i didn't wrap the cake or candles obviously, but I also didn't wrap her picture because I want it to be a surprise for when we have our tea, I also bought 2 cards for her 1 Which sam wrote in which said "Sister I have no idea what life would be like without you" and on the inside it said "Happy Birthday to the worlds best Sister!" And the other card from me and Sarah which said "Happy birthday to a special daughter" on the inside it said "We love you so much! To you on your birthday," I also bought some Deodorant specially for Kat's birthday. She said she wants us to wake up at 8:30!
I cooked some Steak for our tea and Sarah watched it while I ran round the chip shop and got some chips (Kat's favourite), then we let Kat open 1 present since it is a tradition that on birthdays or christmas the day before we always open 1 present, so I let her open the pen with her name on it and I explained to her that I bought it so she could write in her diary with it. She looked very happy and it made me remember to write in my diary:
Dear diary,
I bought Kat a special pen for her diary entries and she seems pretty pleased with it, I feel like a proud father since I made such a effort for her birthday and I can't wait for her birthday tomorrow, it might as well be my own birthday! I am stuffed from that amazing tea that I cooked, I think I should cook more often. Sarah has decorated the kids bedroom some more now Sarah is just putting Kat to bed so I have to go now to put Sam to sleep.

I put Sam to sleep then we iced Kat's cake it says "Happy Birthday Kat!" Then I organised my clothes, deodorant and shoes. I also put all of Kat's presents in the front room quietly, I suddenly remembered to put the picture underneath our bed, so I did that then went to sleep.
